Good Afternoon! I'm hoping I can catch the eye of a Yachtsman Steakhouse employee, to answer a question for me. I've been trying since December :scared1: to get an answers from a CM about the Sweetheart Dinner for Two that is advertised at Signature restaurants as a "What Will You Celebrate" option this year. I don't know why WDW announces stuff, but dosen't pass info on to the CMs? :confused3 Anyhoo!! The deal includes a "Prix Fixe" menu...my questions are this....

1. What is on the Prix Fixe menu? (All the description says is it is a selection of four entrees off the regular menu)

2. If one is familiar with the regular menu, and what they really want is on it, but not the Prix Fixe menu, can they order off the regular menu and still have the "Sweetheart" dinner, but with price adjustments?

3. If the answer to #2 is "no", then can one still have a commenrative (sp?)menu made up for a special celebration dinner, without having the Sweetheart dinner? (It's going to be our honeymoon)

I really hope that someone can answer these questions for me. I've been chasing my tail for so long trying to get answers, to no avail!

Thank you!!

Have you tried calling the location directly?? If you need help doing that send me a PM and I will see if I can get the info for you!!

I am very interested in this as well. I am trying to plan an anniversary dinner for my parents and could really find much info about the dinner for two.

I am also interested in doing a signature restaurant for my in-laws who are going in June. I just called, but we're not 90 days out yet so I have to call back. We're not going with them but we wanted to pay for the meal. The CM suggested giving them a Disney giftcard which I thought was a great idea.

As far as the menu goes, and getting a happy anniversary wish printed on the menu - she said we'd have to call the restaurant directly after a reservation has been made and talk to them about that. Hope this helps.

I work the Disney Dining line and I'll find out the answer to your questions. I know I haven't booked many of the Sweetheart Dinners and it does tell us that it is a choice of 4 entree's, but not specifically what they are.

I'll find out for you and get back to you later today.

Have a magical day :tinker:

Well this is all the info I was able to find. I was told that you would have a choice on one entree out of four. There are five possible entrees at this time that you can choose from. So it's chef's choice on any particular day what the four will be, so it can change.

The entrees as of this time are as follows:

Lamb Loin
Shiitake Mushrooms, Edamame and Baby Corn, Lamb Merlot Reduction, Merguez Sausage, and Sunchoke Chips

Free-Range Chicken Breast
White Bean Ragout and Garlic Aioli

Oak-fired Rib-Eye
16-oz Rib-Eye with Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and Red Wine Butter

Porterhouse
24-oz Center-cut Porterhouse served Fingerling Potatoes and Roasted Garlic Butter

Summer Vegetable Free-Formed Ravioli
Pasta, Asparagus, and Roasted Vegetable Broth

Yachtsman Filet Mignon
8-oz Filet with Mashed Potatoes and a Red Wine Sauce

Of course that is always subject to change.

The printed menu is only available if you get the Sweetheart Dinner package.

My suggestion is to go ahead and make a reservation w/o the Sweetheart Package, and then call the YSH on the day of to find out what the four entrees and three appt. are and then you can change it to the Sweetheart Dinner if you wish. That way you have the ADR either way and if you don't like what is on the Sweetheart's menu you would still have your regular ADR.

Hope this helps :cutie:

Thank you so much!! This was exactly the info I was looking for...and I was hoping both the ribeye and porterhouse was going to be on it!! Looks like I'm going to book the Sweetheart Dinner  (or should I say add it to my current reservation?!) I really appreciate you going above and beyond!

I would also like to publicly thank IMACM too, he has been very helpful too in my quest to solve the mystery of the Sweetheart Dinner!!

Thanks you guys, you're the best!! :woohoo:
