It will go on sale May 11.

I wish they'd start at the END! I like the later seasons better!

Ben & "hoochie cootchie" Cindy (from their elopement episode which I was watching this am) question. They had Virginia. Didn't they also have a son at the very end? Anybody remember????

I love The Waltons. I started watching last year, every morning at 7:00.

Loved the Waltons. Had the lunchbox. And learned some of the best of WW2 from the show! At least I remembered the info from the show better than my history book!

GREAT news! this is my mom's favorite tv show. now i know what i can get her as a birthday present. :)

I love that show. I occasionally catch it early Saturday or Sunday mornings (like 7 am). .....................P

our oldest DD is Olivia after momma Walton
well that is really where we started liking the name from

When we were goofy kids, all my friends watched the Waltons. And we used to have a blast making fun of it too. I remember making fun of Miss Mamie and Miss Emily and their "recipe" and John-Boy's mole (I also have a mole on my face, so I thought it was OK to poke fun;) ).

Watching the episodes now, I really miss those days of tearing up the Waltons on a daily basis.;)

Another huge "Walton's" fan here..::yes::

I have hours and hours and hours of those shows taped from the t.v..

When I'm bored - restless - or feeling like I need a walk down Memory Lane, I watch them - and my "Little House On The Prairie" tapes..;)

Didn't Ben & Cindy have a child that died - and then they adopted a child?

I LOVE the waltons!

Yeah, the kid died and they do(I think) end up adopting. They have those movies that show them later about them, both of which I taped of tv and watch all the time. "The Walton Family Reunion" and "A Walton Family Wedding(John-Boy's)"

I love watching the show, and I watch the two movies quite a lot!

I married John-boy! :) No, really, I did! That's our name and we STILL get asked about it. DH has a sister named Elizabeth. When we were first married (1987) we used to get prank phone calls looking for John-boy. A guy we worked with (we met at work) would whistle the theme song when we walked by. :)

I always liked that show. That and Little House on the Praire are two of the best shows ever, in my opinion!

Jill

Remember the Christmas episode where Elizabeth said she wasn't going to have babies, she was going to have puppies?

I think she might have had the right idea!

I LOVE The Waltons. I try to watch them every morning, my dd loves them as well. Anyone every went to their place in Virginia, I want to go and visit it.

Just be sure to get a Designated Driver if you go sampling the "recipe".;)

I was just thinking this evening that I was so glad they are bringing some of my classics back. I don't remember as much detail as some of you but I do remember watching it with the famiy and it makes for good memories.

I also am enjoying the repeats of Bonanza very much. Anyone else think Joe, Ben and Hos (sp?) are real men? I really enjoy the Rossi episodes as I don't remember them at all from watching as a young child.

Thanks for letting us know!! I went right to netflix and have them on my waiting list for as soon as they are released.

I also wish that they would start at the end. I saw last Friday one of my favorite episodes :Pearl Harbor. I love that one and the one where GW is killed in a training acident. I guess I like the sad ones or something. I remember crying when Grandpa died like a member of the family had died or something. I saw a book on the show one day at Books a Million that listed all the different seasons and episodes. Might be good to have as well. I want to go to the old homestead sometime as well.

Wow! I'm surprised at how many other Walton fans there are! I thought I'd be the only "cornball"!! ;)

Ya know what I'd LOVE to see! Instead of doing an after-movie, I'd LOVE a prequell!!

The date would be 1902, the focus would be on Miss Mamie & Miss Emily's Papa. They'd show the old coute as he really was :p instead of the "gentlfied" version in the Baldwin's memories. Miss Mamie would be 18 and Miss Emily 17. We see the REAL story of her "love affair" with Ashley.

As side characters, they'd show a dashing young Zackery Walton chasing a prim & proper Ester..... :teeth:

Don't mean to step on toes here, but I think you mean "Zebulon" Walton....he would be the one chasing Esther!;) But I LOVE that idea!! ...........................P

opps!! sorry! You are correct, Zebulon.

Mum and I went to see the "Waltons" last year in Scyler (I am sure I spelt that wrong!) The museum is amazing - very simple but effective. A lot of the people have personal memories of them and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.
