Mosquitoes do carry more risks in different areas. Just sounds funny.

Yeah, that always makes me laugh. Don't tell me, tell the mosquitoes!

Seriously, though, it's nearly impossible to completely, 100% cover yourself with bug repellent no matter how hard you try. They always seem to find one teeny, tiny little spot and I'm apparently so delicious that they can't resist and DH isn't as suitable a meal as I am. That's why I now check with our travel immunization clinic in case the only way to prevent mosquito-borne illnesses is to get vaccinations even if the CDC recommends use of proper bug repellent. I do the best I can to avoid them, but they won't cooperate . I guess they don't all get the memo.
