Any updates on Everest ride?

I have 24 days to Disney World!!!!! Yes - it's Jersey Week!
Just wondering if anyone recently at AK has heard when Everest is officially opening? I've heard sometimes the ride opens early for previews?

I was just there 10 days ago and I don't think it's ready to be ridden yet, but it's HUGE and looks like it will be a great ride!!

I was there early October and heard that it would open January '06.

i heard may, but that was months ago, i dont know if they moved the opening date up. or if jan is maybe the soft opening where some people get to ride early.

Maybe a mod could move this to the attractions board? you might get more replies.

Allearsnet says its opening february.
