Any Updates for FP+ Off-site?

I'm leaving in less than 2 months and would love to be able to book FP+ before I leave in the mornings. Has anyone been invited to try booking early? FOr those that were invited, what did you do? Make ARDs and link tickets? Do we think this is going to happen soon?

I feel like this trip is going to be a bust b/c of all the FP+ stuff. Staying on-site isn't an option b/c of our family size, but we also want to ride certain rides, and I'm not sure how we are going to manage it all. I don't even like the idea of scheduling rides, but I also don't want to miss out on some rides!

Also, does anyone know once we use our ticket the first day, can we schedule other days of FP+ if we have a MDE account?

Got this e-mail today in response to my e-mail regarding our trip starting Sunday...

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

At this time Fastpass+® is only available in advance to our resort guests and Annual Passholders. They have not released a date on when they will release this option to all of our guests. In the lined for the Kiosks there are cast members throughout the line to help with your selections for the day.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Nothing new has changed. You can only book your 3 FP+ inside the park each day at the kiosks or with a CM with an iPad. :(

You will only be able to book for the day each morning. Have you looked into a throwaway campsite. It is an added expense but you can have up to 10 people on a tent campsite. With that you will get the magic bands (if that is something you care about), will be able to save on parking for your check in and out day and be able to pre-book your FP+s for all the days of your ticket. Just have your check in day be your first park day. There are many that doing this is wrong so it would be up to you and your family and if the money was in the budget. Search of the throwaway room thread and you can find some info there.

Are people still seeing CM's standing outside the gate area before opening? I would love to be able to get it taken care of before the rush of rope drop.

Thanks!

Can you tell me if you book a campsite - do you have to check in there?? Is there a problem if you have no camping equipment and do you get the parking pass then.

We are still deciding on what we are going to do but I have been gathering info. You can do an online check-in so you don't have to actually go to the campgrounds. There have been reports of others that have done it that they were able to just scan their magic bands for parking. Those were some of the last reports in the throwaway room thread. Getting 2 days of parking knocks the cost of the campsite down. You can also cancel the reservation up to 5 days before check-in if things change before it is time for you to pre-book your FP+s. Lots of good info in that throwaway room thread. You do have to go through a good bit of those posting how it isn't right to take a site if you don't plan to use it. But there are some that have posted that have done just what I am talking about with no problems. But one of them there may be better to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks - I tried reading - stopped at page 16. Guess I should go back again. I was having trouble finding how you do it. Did not think about online check-in that would make it a lot easier. Thanks again.

Try starting at the end. Those that just got back were some of the last posts. If you ask a question there, one of those poster many see it and post again.
