Any update on the Disney Fairies Meet and Greet?

In December, there were lots of rumors about a forthcoming Disney Faries meet and greet at the Judges Tent. There were cast members claiming that the characters had already been hired. Does anyone have any more news? We are going in early March, and my girls would love to see the fairies.

Only Mickey was there this week, I have not heard of the faries go in there too.

Yes this is true.....I spoke to someone recently at WDW who's family member is going to be involved with the Fairies over in toon town. She confirmed that her family member had been hired and was very excited as she is currenlty performing as another character on property.

There has been a lot of Fairies publicity recently so I wouldn't doubt this in the near future. But I do feel that there should be a different room for them. Something about them being in the Princess's room or Mickey's room doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm too traditional .

It would be great if they had a room that has all oversized items (like the bug's life playground) so that you feel you have become the size of the fairies.

Hmm, I have heard this concept mentioned before in regards to the fairy meet-and-greet rooms! However, I have heard it from unofficial sources.

The Tinker Bell movie is out in October. Any chance that the Fairies will be meeting guests in early October? Like any time from Oct 4-11??

My daughter (4) would go crazy to meet Tink. For her birthday she wanted a princess cake, but she thought Tinkerbell was a princess and got upset when she heard Tink would not be on the Princess cake, now she didn't want a Faries cake either she just wanted Tink on with Cindy and Snow White. Thank God I found a Tinkerbell candle at the party store and she was thrilled. Does anyone know if the movie is straight to DVD? I thought so but find it strange w/ the fairy popularity it wouldn't make it to the big screen.

Earlier this month, I did a GS cookie booth with a lady who's mom is a CM at WDW. She was a character handler,but recently got a promotion. She was telling me that they were holding auditions for Tinkerbelle, and some ladies were coming out crying, because everyone wants to be the first Tink!

once disney decides on a final version of the Tinkerbelle movie then you might see them. as it is, it's been pulled back twice and reworked (because apparently the original version was just awful and John "Pixar" wasn't having it). Its supposedly going to be something very different than what the original previews showed.

well thats impossible i'm afraid. tinkerbelle has been flying in the fireworks for years. and there is only one tink.
