Friends of mine will be leaving in about 2 weeks for a last minute trip. They are a party of 6, and do not have any ADRs. I am sure the more popular restaurants would be impossible to get, but does anyone have suggestions for a TS restaurant that is less popular and still might be available? This group doesn't really understand how busy it is likely to be, and I would like to give them a few suggestions. They are going for a week beginning the Wednesday after Easter. All advice is appreciated!

Thanks!

Try Biergarten, Marreksh (that is spelled wrong) and Teppan at Epcot; Kona at the Polyesian; Plaza and Liberty Tree at the MK; Yak & Yeti at AK; 50's Prime Time at Studios. They might want to try The Wave at the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian Cafe at the GF.

I had a nice seafood buffet at the Garden Grill on a Friday night (menu changes depending on night) at the Dolphin hotel. (it's by Epcot.) If there are any children in the party they also have Timon and Rafiki that night only. (at least that was the night when I went.) It was NOT packed by any means, we didn't have a reservation, and the characters spent tons of time with everyone since it was so empty.

There was a "southern" buffet on another night, but since we are Southern, that didn't interest us much.

OH, and the prices weren't too bad.

EDIT: if they are on the dining plan, that particular restaurant doesn't take the dining credits. No restaurants at the Dolphin/Swan do.

Nine Dragons in China (epcot)
The food is okay and the iced jasmine tea is great...
We were able to do a walk up there when everything else was booked solid.

MK - The Plaza and Tony's are usually pretty easy to get into
EP - Biergarten pretty easy
MGM - not sure
AK - probably Rainforest, they don't take ADR's so its okay to get into, it can get jammed at the normal eating times like right at noon and after 5 PM, so we try to eat at odd times, like around 11 AM or like 3 PM...

We just got back and although we had several ressies..it was not enough. I thought we could make some a day or 2 a head and all would be great....not so, everything was booked........and I mean everything. In the 8 days we were there we managed to get 3 reservations and they were not great diing times. My advice...reserve and cancel if you have too..........but DO NOT GO WITHOUT RESSIES!
