I know that almost every service, at some time, has people complaining about them. What I am asking is, is there one company that seems to have very little complaints as opposed to the ones that consistently have problems?

Have you used any particular one, year after year, that has never given you a problem?

Hmmm, I don't see any that don't get slagged on here at one time or another. And all of them seem to have a slight problem responding to problems in a satisfactory way. Having said that, there was a time when Tiffany had a golden reputation, although that seems to have slipped, and apparently they have a bad rating with BBB. However, I have always had great service with TTC, so I'm personally going to keep using them as long as I keep getting excellent service.

I didn't know Tiffany had a bad rating with the BBB. I've never had any trouble with them. I did have an incident where DH and I had to wait for a driver for about 1/2 hour longer than we should have. I started to get nervous about making our flight. The driver that did show up said our original driver got "sick" and he was a back up. I have no reason to disbelieve him but as I said it did make me nervous as we sat there waiting for someone to show up. Other than that, we have had good service since we used them the first time in 1998. We will be using them again this Sunday and probably again in November for transportation to Port Canaveral and back unless there are some major problems (which I hope not).

I know "things" happen. People get sick, car companies overbook and contract out their services. I'm not perfect and I don't expect others to be that way either. I do however expect that if there is a mishap of some sort, the company will make it right. Maybe I am expecting to much . . . I hope not.

Thanks Lisa and Jen. Its just so confusing and frustrating choosing one, as they all get some complaints. I was all set to book Yourride and now I'm reading SO many people unhappy with them. What to do??

I've also read many good reports on Cartier - so I booked them for our trip in October!

We have been using Tiffany also for the past few years and never had any problem. The trick is we have always requested the same driver. I got his name few years ago from a trip report and how wonderful he was,... so I have asked for him ever since.
When you have a driver with a nice clean car who shows up on time if not earlier and takes care of you and your luggage and is a good driver you take his or her name and ask for that person the next time you go.

I've used both Tiffany and FL Tours. Right now, FL Tours has been the most reliable for me.

As you say, though, every company has a complaint now and then. Last time I used Tiffany I almost missed my return flight, scary but not deadly. I made my flight, after all :)

With Tiffany, we tried always requesting the same driver and he became so popular we could never get him again. I was disappointed the first time we asked for him and didn't get him that I stopped asking for him. I hope we have someone on time and reliable this time or we will be "shopping" for a new towncar service. I am already stressed enough about lossing power, having to come to work on little sleep and not knowing for sure if my flight will even leave Cleveland on Sunday that I am counting on my experience with Tiffany being a good one or we will be ex-Tiffany customers!

Have a great trip everyone!

Which driver do you request, if you don't mind.

We are using Tiffany in Oct. Last time our driver was a major jerk. Tiffany made it right by us, so we are giving them another try.

We used Tiffany last Sept and plan to use them again this Sept. We arrived really late and left really early.....he was waiting on us both times, no problems!

Hi! I hope that Tiffany's problems are just typical bumps in the road average to any business.

We have used Tiffany 3 times and never had a problem. Always look forward to relaxing in those leather seats after a long airplane ride.

We plan on using their van and sedan when our extended family goes on a vacation in Nov. 2004. Yippee!

Our annual WDW vacation starts on 10/27 this year. I have used Yourride in the past, and was happy. I contacted them recently and was very disappointed. The e-mails I received back were very scary. I never felt like I was being handled by a professional company. I sent my itinerary at least three times, but never felt comfortable that Thom completely understood.

So I tried FL Tours. I have requested a quote at least three times, with absolutely NO response. Our trip is four-legged, so I can't use the standard listed rates.

I requested a quote from Cartier, and received a very quick, professional quote from Alex, outlining my itinerary and pricing. I was impressed!

So...guess who I booked? Cartier, of course.

I've used Tiffany Towncar a few times and always had excellent service from them, as has several friends and family members that I had referred to them.

So when I read that they had a bad BBB rating, I was surprised and wanted to check it out because I am planning on using them next summer for our cruise.

It turns out that, according to the BBB website, they had one complaint which has been resolved. Here's the link to the BBB website with Tiffany Towncar's listing: http://www.orlando.bbb.org/nis/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0733000007000774

I still feel extremely confident using them and referring them!

Someone else who got a quick professional response from Cartier- so I booked them for 9-30 and 10-08. Hoping things go off without a hitch!

To be blunt, no one can please everyone all the time. People will complain about anything and everything, often it is deserved, however, often it is not. People get really annoyed when they perceive there has been a wrong commited against them and the earth was not moved to accomodate them or make their little world happy. The unfortunate thing is that we only hear one side of the story here. We all know that there are three sides to every story: "yours, mine and the truth/facts as it really happened".
Comments like the ones from Zera's Pride make perfect sense, no rants, no raves, just comments and a hope that if something goes wrong, it will be made right. Definitely not too much to expect.
I was very impressed with a comment made in another thread by the gentleman from Fl. Tours. The fact that he took the time to write spoke reams about him and the company. IMHO, that shows dedication and caring about the customer and the business.
So, in answer to your question, it seems that everyone gets neg. comments now and then, that seems to be the norm for any business, cause, as I said, no matter how hard you try you simply cannot please everyone.
