Any tips for traveling with many Disney gift cards?

Ordered 1st $500 gc on 1/29. Received today 2/9. It was of Mickey Mouse sitting in the sun. Don't know how to post pix anymore. Ordered 2nd $500 on 2/1 but still in DVA acct. Will call again.

Thanks for keeping us updated on this. It would be GREAT if you could get more than one $500 gift card from the DVA.

Terms clearly state that you can only get one $500 card per account. It will be interesting to hear what happens.

Requested again 2nd gift card yesterday 2/11. 1st person I talked to didn't know you could even get 1 gift card and kept asking if I wanted the bonus or the refund then transferred me to no mans land. 2 nd person said I only could order gc online. 3rd person had no idea what they were doing. Asked me to spell Georgia 3 times.

I'm still surprised that your account is still open, with funds, after requesting the 500GC. I thought requesting the GC closes the account! Cool, let us know how it works out.

So true. The rules also state that you can't pay your DVC annual dues with the DVA. We all know that's not true.

So is it safe to assume that I could open a DVA, deposit 500 dollars of gift card using the 50 dollar ones I have and then order one 500.00 one to at least consolidate 10 of them? And then not use the account for anything else?

This seems like an easy question and I would say yes but I'm not sure if anyones done this. Maybe I'll try this with my 2nd acct. I'll go add more right now, get it to $500 and see if the fake "request card" button shows up.

Sadly, your DVA has to be open for at least 120 days before you can use the value in your DVA to purchase Disney Gift Cards. No go for us this time around.

Is it perhaps because you called to get the first card? Maybe their system isn't linked and if you had done it online it wouldn't keep showing up.

Maybe I'll try this with my 2nd acct.

I didn't want to call. Calling DVA is like call ATT but with better music.

I was logged on a few weeks ago and I noticed a button that said, do I want to make a second account. So I did. Same login. No calling.

Put requests in for 2nd gift card on 2/1 & 2/11 & 2/19 & 2/25. The last time I called I decided to mention that I've tried to get gc before and it didn't work. She made a note of it and said someone would contact me or take care of it. Tomorrow will be 5 days since last request. My 1st gc took 5 days to be deducted from account.
I hope it works because I just cancelled my Bounce Back reservation for the Discover/ Expedia deal. Expedia had the same price as my BB plus $200 off for using Discover cc! So now I don't need DVA to pay for reservation.
So right now my vacation is in April and I only have $500 gc to take. $1000 tied up in 2 DVA accounts.

I do the same as many others. I have a special little wristlet I keep them all in there and in the safe. I charge everything to our room then every other day or so I apply them to our room balance. I buy at least a 50 buck gift card every 2 weeks all year long sometimes more.

Well, I got another $500 gc in todays mail. DVA has replaced my 1st $500 gift card with another $500 gc. I've come to the conclusion that they are incompetent and I am a PITA.

Just received an email from Disney Vacation Account. It seems to imply that you can get more than 1 $500 gift card. Which would be great for anyone not wanting to travel with so many $50 gift cards. Good luck. I just applied for refund of both DVA accts because I was worried about them,again, messing with my 1 and only $500 gc. I thought I was going to end up with no money, eating ketchup and onion lettuce wraps at Cosmic Ray's fixings bar.
