Any thoughts about Grand Floridian Cafe?

Hi! I have a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian Cafe on May 2nd (first time there). Does anyone have any reviews for me? Any food recommendations? We are looking forward to eating there.

We have eaten there our last 3 trips and LOVED it! Actually on our last trip, my fil thought it was the best meal he had the entire trip (9 days)
My kids (8 ,6) loved the chicken noodle soup and kids steak.
My dh and fil started with the shrimp app and mussels - really enjoyed them
I had the soup of the day which was beef veg - incredible! Very tasty.
We all had the grilled rib eye. Very tender, tasty and just plain YUM!
Next trip I am going to try for 2 ressies. It is good, the GL is beautiful and then you can just hop on the monorail and get to MK - perfect!

We've eaten there twice (and planning to again over Easter!!) Love this restaurant. Beautiful, great service, relaxing, and good food. Both times I have had the ribeye, the kids usually eat the chicken fingers.

We only had breakfast there but everything was delicious with great service. I would love to go back for lunch or dinner.

GF Cafe is probably of the most under rated restaurants at Disney! We love it here. The atmosphere is charming, bright and open. The food is delish! I highly recommend the french onion soup, NY strip steak and tiramisu for dessert. It is really good.

We've also done breakfast here and it's just as good. It's a beautiful restaurant with delicious food.

I've never had dinner there, but the food at lunch is really good. I'd say it's one of my favorite non-signature resort restaurants.

Every meal that we've ever had there, we have loved. We've been for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend the following: Grand Floridian Burger, French Onion Soup, Mussels. I don't remember the names of the oher sandwiches, but they were wonderful, with side items like cucumber salad or tomato salad.

DH and I MUCH prefer the food here to the fare of Citricos upstairs.

We loved our lunch at GF Cafe. My husband had the GF Burger with the lobster and it was amazing. He gave me a bite and I wish I had ordered it as well. I had French Onion Soup and a chicken sandwich which was very nice. But we still talk about the GF Burger!

I was at GFC on Sunday with my parents. Mom & I had great meals, Dad's was inedible.

Ihad the porkchop with the roasted corn. It was amazing. Mom has pasta and shrimp with peas, but with garlic and olive oil instead of the asiago cheese sauce. Both of these were wonderful!

Dad had the ribeye steak. Now let me preface it by saying my Dad has never met a meal he didn't love

This steak was so tough he could not cut it. The chef ended up coming out to chat with us. Nice guy. Basically, they have no control over the cuts of meat they receive. And they are not up to the standard they want to set.

He never offered to send out another steak, saying that it would be the same

So the beef is hit or miss, some are really good and some are not edible.

The dining room was lovely and we had a window seat and could see parts of the fireworks. For 2 of us, it was a very nice meal

Oh no! The ribeye was what I was planning to get! Do you remember how he had it cooked? I usually get mine medium rare, which I think can help if it's a subpar piece of meat.
