Any Summer plans that

Renting a cabin on a lake next door to our granddaughters house for a week at the end of this month.

2-week trip to Sault Ste. Marie in the U.P with our camper in early August.

And a 4-night stay on Mackinac Island in early September.

Also, as many trips as we can squeeze in to our place up north camping with our kids and some of our grands.

We're 115 here, so that sounds fine to me. I'm sure it will cool down. We have been in June for a heat wave then and cold weather another year.
It is all good with me!!

Oh ... 115, yeah 93 is a dream to you right now. Lol

AZ? At least it’s dry if I’m right. But yeah, that’s still an oven. I don’t miss those hot 🥵 summers. I grew up in Scottsdale.

My plans include something I call the summer of teeth. Had one tooth pulled so far and next I have to schedule a root canal, then a cap, cleaning and discussing an implant.

We have barely began summer. My kids have just been off school since the end of June.

I don’t get vacation until the last week of August. We are going to Vancouver Island ( Tofino) for 4 nights. Besides that just day activities on my days off.

yes...AZ....we won't see under 100 for several more months. It is dry, so feels like an oven instead of a sauna :rotfl:

We are going to in all inclusive in Mexico in Aug for our anniversary. DD is joining us for the week. We haven't seen her since Oct.

No. We always vacation as soon as we can at the beginning of summer. I need to stop doing that to myself :rotfl:

Wow you guys are living it up. Next week having the back deck completely redone and enlarged by 13 ft. Having a useless door going out onto said deck replaced with a window and also completely redoing front steps and landing. Boy oh boy I know how to live. But in October sometime heading to North Ga. Mountains to a friends house for our 25th annual Farmfest. They have a 100 acres and every year about 6-8 couples get together for the weekend and some adult beverages and shooting skeet and just being away from kids.

Already been to the lake for a few days with DW, so that's it for us this summer. We may take a trip to the Gulf coast in the fall.

We leave for a week at WDW tomorrow
Have tentative plans in August for a local road trip to Newport, RI, Mystic CT and Mogegan Sun casino

Just back from Hawaii - no other current plans (except for a day trip or two) until we take off to drop our oldest off at college in August.

Nothing else this summer (went to CO for a long weekend the first of June). Next exciting thing is Italy in October, I am also celebrating a birthday that ends in 0. We have such a short summer that I like enjoying my own backyard and local parks, etc. when we have the opportunity and vacationing during spring/fall months when possible.

Maybe a couple of day trips to hike or something, not more than two hours from home. DS18 moves to college in a little over a month and school starts for me and DS16 mid August as wel. Our big vacation is always late May/early June as soon as school gets out, and I can't take more than a day at a time off work after the middle of July.

We have barely began summer. My kids have just been off school since the end of June.
Same here- we’re in our second full week out of school- so finishing the to-do list of clean/purge and doctor/dentist visits during the week. Spent a few hours at the salon getting my hair cut, colored and high/low lighted today- and it felt good to not stress about work or schedules. We’ve been enjoying local spots- beaches and the east end of the island. Fire pits and BBQs at night. I love where we live in summer, weather is perfect and there are many things to do within a 30 mile - 50 miles radius. Usually don’t even go that far.

Off to Europe to visit several friends and family members in less than a week. Looking forward to spending Bastille Day in it's hometown for starters.

We will be going up to Mackinaw City with most of our family the 2nd weekend in August. This will be our 20th year going in a row. It's only a 3 day trip but it's so fun to get our sons and families all together as they don't seen each other much except for Christmas.

Well... DD got married on Father's Day, and on Sunday I finished teaching an entire YEAR of organic chemistry labs in 8 weeks, so the first order of business this summer is to catch my breath!
DH and I will spend the weekend in the Boston area, although I think we will go to Sturbridge Village on Saturday and Lexington/Concord on Sunday. DD will join us on Sunday night in Portland ME, as DH will take the bus north (to home) from there on Monday morning. DD and I will spend 3 nights in York Beach, ME, hanging at the beach, visiting family, staying at my sister's. On Thursday I'll take DD home to CT, on Friday afternoon I fly out of Portland, ME to Cleveland. I'll stay there (actually in Bellevue) for 4 nights, then fly back to Portland on 7/23. Not too much planned after that, although DH and I would like to get to Stowe, VT for several nights in early August. DD will come up for a visit at some point in August, then we are headed back to Cleveland (this time Huron) on 8/23 for 4 nights for a niece's wedding. We are sharing a lake-front home with my SIL/BIL, their daughter and her husband, and their son (who was a groomsman in DD's wedding). Classes resume the weekend before Labor Day. Sigh. Summer is always too short.
