Hi, Its quite a while since the kids were small, and we've eaten in WDW. We've done Sci Fi cafe, Crystal Palace, Fulton's Crab House, Rainforest Cafe. Has anyone any suggestions for our trip this July??
The kids are now 19 and 14, so we really could do with something a little more 'grown up'? We like something quirky, with a good range of food - nothing 'hot' DH and DD don't do 'hot', and I'm vegatarian.
Any ideas, please let me know!!

Spoodles is great, and has pasta dishes without meat. Beaches and Cream is a must do for us on every trip. Hoolywood Brown Derby is very nice, as are Plaza, Kona Cafe, the Cape May Cafe, and Ohana.

Ohana is at the top of our list, though with being vegetarian, I'm not sure how you'd like it with all those meat skewers. But I thought the green salad and the veggies were delicious.

It sounds like your family may enjoy Boma. It has a quirky sort of atmosphere, and quite a wide variety of dishes. I especially enjoyed the array of fresh fruits - I ate a ton of watermelon, and the desserts were fantastic.

We thought Sci Fi Dine In and 50's Prime Time were both lots of fun, and I'd think kids the age of yours might enjoy both. We thought Sci Fi had the edge on atmosphere and 50's had the edge on food. I'm pretty sure they both had some non meat options.

For Counter Service I remember specifically that the Moroccan one in Epcot, Tangierine Cafe, was really good, different, and had quite a lot of vegetarian offerings. We all enjoyed it.

You might also want to look into Tusker House at AK. It had really nice, fresh, unusual counter service offerings - not your typical burgers and hot dogs. We thought it was delicious.

I'm sure there's lots more, but there's a few for now at least. Enjoy!!!

Chefs de France has probably the best mac n cheese you could eat.
It is a little harder to eat vegetarian there. My sister is not strict vegetarian, but right next to it.
We took her to Chef's and Boma's. And she probably liked Boma's the best of all the places we ate at WDW.

Boma and Spoodles would be excellent choices. A few other places that come to mind are Flying Fish, Kona Cafe, 50's and Grand Floridian Cafe.

Flying Fish and Artist Point are my 18 year old DD favorites, followed closely by Le Cellier. She does not like buffets (will make an occasional exception for Bomas) and we have never done Sci-fi or 50's. She enjoyed Spoodles, Mama Melrose's and the Moroccan Restaurant in Epcot. We are lookinng foreward to trying Raglan Road and Konas this fall.
She actually likes the nicer places and since we do not go back to the room for a rest period, the dining time is our refresher. This has been her eating preference since she was at least 16.

Thanks for all your replies. Spoodles and Sci Fi look our hot favorites!
Thanks again.
