Any Suggestions where to eat at Gatwick night before

We are staying the night before we fly to MCO at the gatwick hilton, 5 adults and 1 infant, our car to the airport was double booked for later in the day so is picking us up at 11am we will arrive about 1pm, after twilight check in and getting into our rooms we want to go out and eat, any suggestions for somewhere close as there does not appear to be anywhere at the airport also any taxi numbers as will not have a car?

Room Service makes a pretty good Club, or you can take the train over to the south terminal. In the south terminal there is a pie shop, a Burger King, an Italian restaurant, a M&S express and a couple of other smaller shops. In the Hilton there is a buffet and a full service, both pretty pricey, but the buffet is quite nice. Or you can take a short walk to McDonald, I know it's American slop, and it's the only time I eat at McDonalds, but it's a nice break when I'm in the UK.

One small correction, the Hilton is in the South Terminal, you will have to go the north terminal for the restaurants I mentioned, as well as you flight since it sounds like you are taking Delta #11. BTW - Get to the Delta ticket counter early, the line can get out of control sometimes. Best place for breakfast after check in, Cafe Rouge, upper level.

We are flying VA at 11.15ish the next day, looking for a sit down with some beer lol Once went to a pub a few years ago about 2 miles away, but wanted to try F+ bennys at LGW but looks like they have gone!

Unfortunately Frankie & Benny's has gone but the good news is that there's now a Giraffe in the south terminal.

we ate at Giraffe in October and had a really nice meal. There centainly is not much choice nowadays they seem to want to make sure nobody hangs about in the terminals, they want you through to airside. Have also eaten at the Hilton but thought it was expensive for what it was.

Yes, it is, we ate there the evening before our flight last summer.

Really enjoyed the food there, it's a really diverse menu so you're sure to find something your would like

Another option may be at the Hilton - if you get offered an upgrade to Executive for a reasonable price it is quite good - free drinks from 6 to 9.30, snack food (some hot and cold, changes but is very often more than enough to make a meal, and computers with internet access or wireless if you have your own.
