Hi we will be going to Disney the end of Aug. begining of Sept. We have 4 kids dd 16, ds 14 ,dd 4, ds 2. as you can see we have a wide range o f ages and both boys and girls so trying to make everybody happy can be hard.
We are doing the dining plan and have 7 days.
I already have booked the CRP for breakfast one day my 4 yo dd will LOVE this, we have booked Chef Micky's for our arrival dinner.
my thoughts are Crystal palace for dinner do they have characters for all the meals? ds who is 2 would love to see Pooh.
My other thoughts for sit down restaurants are Whipering Canyon, but I am wondering what day to do that on I was thinking the day we go to a water park. Other thoughts are Le Cellier for our last night.
I would love to do the fantasmic dinner package to which place would you pick Mama Melrose or Hollywood and vine.
That uses up all or seated dinner points unless we pay oop for 4 dd and use her credits I have heard this mentioned is it ok to do? I have also heard good thing about Ohanas should we skip one of the ones I mentioned and opt for that instead.
Anybody have any other ideas to make all these kids happy?
Any must do counter services I really haven't even thought about those yet!!!

Suggest if you get the chance RFC is good and the kids really seem to enjoy it.If you go to AK we always enjoy the food at Flame Tree BBQ for a nice lunch,Tusker House is good also. :goodvibes

I wouldn't plan the counter services..........just write down a few that sound intriguing, then see what you're near when you're hungry.

Can't help with the DP points, as we pay OOP.

Definitely don't miss Crystal Palace (yes, characters for all meals), CM, or Le Cellier. We ate at Mama Melrose's last time for our Fantasmic package and didn't like it. We are trying Hollywood and Vine this time.

That's a pretty good mix. Other faves of ours are Coral Reef in Epcot (LOTS of people haven't had good experiences here, but we have), Garden Grill in Epcot (but it has same characters as Chef Mickey's), Cinderella's Royal Table in MK OR Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot..........you really should try to add one of these!...............and Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We didn't like WCC, but we did like Flame Tree BBQ.........the barbecue isn't that good, but it's okay, and the seating areas behind the restaurant were very relaxing..........lots of winding paths and tables set back in foliage, some ponds and such, little ducks wandering about..........very nice.

We love Mama Melrose's, but for the ages in your party, I'd suggest 50's Prime Time Diner (so fun!!) or the buffet at Hollywood and Vine.

I have to agree that it sounds like you have a good mix. If your family will go for it, try Boma. We loved it! And don't be surprised if your teens get into the whole chacarater meals. My DS-16, got an autograph book and is planning on taking it on our next trip. He wants to fill it up! So, we did character meals with one of our DD's in mind, but he had just as much as they did, maybe even more.
Have fun!
