Any suggestions for visiting an Orange grove in Florida near WDW?

I would love to take the kids to an orange grove to see how its done.

Any suggestions for something close to Orlando?

We've gone to Showcase of Citrus with our family, and thought it was a GREAT experience.

From Kissimee Resort/Disney World, Hwy 192 Area
•Take Highway 192 West until it ends at Highway 27.
•Merge right onto Highway 27 going North 4.5 miles.
•They are on the East side of the road.

We also have done Showcase of Citrus. I loved the experience of picking our own fruit. We we are from, we only get to pick apples.

My family has lived in Florida for the past 32 years, and not once has it ever struck me to visit an orange grove to watch them pick them! Great idea though.

When I was driving on the Florida Turnpike earlier this week to WDW, the sweet aroma of orange blossoms filled my car. I love that smell!

We live right in the middle of the groves that grow the oranges for Florida's Natural(the best oj in the world!!!) The orange blossoms are the best smelling things ever!! unfortunately they come with allergies for me and my boys!!!

Another vote for Showcase!! It's smaller than some, and kinda laid back, but it's a fun experience. And whatever varieties they are currently harvesting when you go, you can sample-taste to see which you like best before buying or picking.

And we HAVE to get back there next month for some more Orange Blossom Honey!!

We have been many times. It depends on when you go if there in season. Look at the website it is so worth it. JMHO

This sounds great! My family is now planning on stopping there before we head home. I looked online and they will have some Valencia oranges, all kinds of grapefruit & Sunburst tangerines in season when we go in June. This will be a great way of ending our vacation.
