I am super duper excited, ,this is my first trip back in 2 years and I am so wound up I feel I could burst into song!!!!:rockband:
How am I ever going to wind down to sleep!!

Any body have any suggestions as to HOW NOT to stay up all night anticipating my 5 am alarm??? Maybe I should just pull an all nighter and watch movies?

TIA!!:teeth:

You'll be so sorry if you do! I was up until 2am the night before my trip. When the alarm went off at 4 am,I shot outa bed like a freekin' cannon all psyched and ready to go. By the time we landed in Orlando,I had such a bad headache,I wasted my first afternoon in WDW because I slept all afternoon! Try to go to bed
at your regular time even if you don't fall asleep right away, eventually you will!!
Have fun!!!!

Have any Dramamine??? Take one or two an hour or so before bedtime and you'll be asleep in no time so when your 5:00AM wakeup comes, you'll be ready and raring to go!

I have no suggestions because I'm the same way. You'll get into bed and your mind will be racing . . .I feel your pain . . .:teeth:

Have a GREAT trip!

When I have to work the day before we leave on vacation I always come home and go DIRECTLY to sleep for a few hours. Knowing I'll be up anyways packing and fretting I know I atleast had a nap during the day! Hopefully you'll get some sleep and be ready for tomorrow! Have a wonderful trip and a magical vacation!

Get everything DONE...drink some CAFFEINE FREE tea...and take a warm bath. You'll be ready;) You need your rest:teeth:

I know exactly what you mean - I never sleep the night before a vacation. Then I don't sleep for a night or two when we get to our destination either! The last time we were at Disney, I didn't sleep for 3 days straight - I just ran on adrenaline. Till I get used to a hotel bed and sleeping with my entire family, it's time to go home!

thanks for all the tips!! I am already (i hope) to go. everything is unplugged, i took a long hot shower, bags by the front door,
and it is 9:15 Texas time and I am about to get into bed, and guess what ?? I am actually exhausted from all the house work
I have been doing tonight.

ya'll have a great week, ya hear!!:wave2: bye now.

Great suggestions. I love these boards.
Checking this website out keeps me inthe Disney Spirit till midnight. Then up at 5:30 am for work...
ie my DIS name -- hee hee :teeth:

Really I can live on 6 hrs of sleep.

The day before you go - do not sleep late.
Get up at 6 am or earlier the day before you leave.
Do chores, bills, go over what you have packed, make a nice
meal for your family - mickey head pancakes are my specialty.

In the late afternoon, once off from work - read a book - even a WDW guide book (again). Eat dinner. No TV, No DIS (sorry - sleep is needed). Take a warm shower or bath. make sure your family is ready to travel the next day. Everyone goes to bed by 9pm
or earlier for little ones.
Turn off the lights. Relax. Think happy thoughts. Your body will have been up for at least 12 hours - it will want sleep - without any drugs.

Happy dreams

WEll, we are off in about 30 minutes to DFW, and I wanted to let you know I went to bed at 930, fell asleep around 1030, woke up at 2 am, and have been going ever since. Thankfully the plane ride is 2 1/2 hrs. so I can nap a little.

thanks to all. bye:wave2:

I agree, I only took 1, and it settled my brain enough where I was able to sleep most of the night. If I take 2 I feel half asleep for most of the day.
