Any suggestions for Palos dinner?

I was looking at the menu on Dave's site and the menu didn't seem to match up with all of the hype (chicken, pasta, gourmet pizza, ect.) Can anyone share their experience? What was so good? I was expecting lobster or filets......

We love italian...
and it was excellent italian cuisine!
The chocolate souffle is exquisite.

Palos is not to be missed. All food, weather pasta or steak, is expertly prepared. I highly recommend the Calamari, Lamb, and Chocolate Souflet. They will also prepare a filet for you, I am told, if you wish. And they do have lobster on lobster night.

Here is what I recommend. Pick a night when you might not love the menu (Mexicali night) and go to Palos then. That way, you replace a mediocre night with an awesome night.

We plan to do Palos twice on our Jan 31 cruise. We have 2 staterooms between us and my mom, so we can make 2 reservations right away.

DH and I both had the filet mignon. It was delicious.

There is a Palo menu from July, 2003 at www. castawayclub.com . You might want to check out that menu. That is the menu I remember when we went in October.

Yes, it is that good. Probably one of the best upscale restaurants we have been in.

They do serve lobster on lobster night (7day cruise).

They also have a wonderful filet.

They also have specials, when we were there one of the specials was the filet. Also there was a fabulous mushroom pasta as an appetizer on special.... Don't let the menu fool you, I thought the same thing. When I sat down and saw the menu I thought "pizza on deck 9 for dinner..." But I was so wrong!!

Thanks for the info guys. I will def. give it a try and I'm sure I will love it. The pizza had me raising an eyebrow though! Glad to hear it was fine dining. I figured it must be better than it appeared on that menu b/c of all of the hype.
