Any Spotify Premium users here?

So, not totally a Budget related question but I'm hoping someone here can help me non-the-less.

I'm traveling to Bermuda in July and was thinking about upgrading to Spotify Premium for a month so I can have my playlists on the beach. Can I get my playlists in offline mode on my phone if I'm roaming on my phone plan? Also, can I cancel after July and only pay for a month? I really only want it for the week and figure ten dollars is worth it if I can cancel right after.

If you move your playlists to offline mode they are kept on your phone, so whether or not you're roaming shouldn't matter. (That said, I haven't actually tried this.)

And yeah, you can cancel whenever. You're not locked into any sort of a contract.

I agree with PP - I think they download your music & store it on your phone's memory in a cache file somehow, so cell coverage shouldn't be a factor.

I just googled "premium spotify offline mode" and the article from For Dummies is pretty well spelled out & confirms this. Only thing you need to do is make sure to select the playlists you want offline as available in offline mode WHILE you have Internet/data connection, b/c if needs to download each song, just like an MP3 player or cd. Once all the songs download you should be good to switch to offline mode & use the app just as you would a MP3 player or music files stored directly on your phone.
