I just caught the season premiere last night...what an episode! I think it was one of their best yet, very well done.

The last few minutes just ripped my heart out. :(

*edited to add the word spoilers in thread title*

I love the show - last season was a disappointment though.
I taped the season opener but haven't watched it yet. DH hates the show and he is out of town so I will watch tonight. Glad to hear it was good. I love the way the characters have developed.

I agree...the last few minutes were unbelievable...while Nat was digging that hole and putting her in...well, it was very difficult to watch....and then his grief....oh my!

That was such a gut wrenching ending this week. I could not stop thinking about it after it was over. All through the show I kept waiting for them to tie in the death shown in the opening. What a way to do it !

Seems to me there was a thread here at the end of last season about speculation as to what exactly had happened to Lisa? I wonder if they will pursue that, or just leave it as an unsolved mystery?

And WHAT is up with that creepy guy they have working for them???

I was wondering what the beginning scene was all about since the death of that guy happened way back in the 70's, what a creative way to tie it in though!

They said that Lisa drowned, but not how. I think they are probably just going to leave it for now. Maybe later on in the season Nate will find a suicide letter or something from Lisa, who knows! She was kind of weird in her own way!

I thought it was also creative the way Claire's boyfriend got mad when he found out she had an abortion. Most of the time they leave things like that out, but it really showed lots of emotion.

That apprentice working for them is strange too! I'm waiting for him to turn into a Jeffrey Dahmer type character!

ohhhhh and Ruth's new " someday you will meet my family, perhaps at my funeral " husband..........lots and lots of scope for plot development there. I LOVE this show. Have right from the beginning. Although I definitely do not miss those hideous ads for mortician products they had during the first season...they must have totally bombed, they seem to have been edited out.

LOL I love that creepy nut guy that works for them, he is too funny.

I like Six Feet Under. It will be interesting to see what happens between Brenda and Nat now that Lisa is gone. Love Rachel Griffiths, too bad she is not on more. I think that is why most people did not like it last year, she wasn't on very much. I guess David and Keith are back together again. Keith is suppose to get a new job as a guard for a celebrity.

Did anyone catch Keith's line at the begining of the show about the wedding cake tasting like it was 12 months old? It has been 12 months since this show was last on. Cute.

We will see. Jay

That was cool how they snuck that one in. I think this season will be the best yet.

I had read some TERRIBLE reviews of this episode, so I was thrilled to watch it for myself and decide that *I* actually thought it was great.

I loved how the audience "knew" what Nate was going to do with Lisa's body and we knew that David "knew" what Nate was doing, but it was never verbalized. It just happened and David helped Nate clean up after the fact. Nice link to the original 1970's death too. Wonder how many people actually missed that(?)

Personally, I love Keith's character. So often, he is the only one with common sense. Cut and dry. No whining. I thought that the wedding cake comment was just hysterical and so "inside.";) Bet plenty of people missed THAT connection too.

This is the only show that DH and I absolutely must watch without fail and have watched since episode #1.

Is it just me or does anyone else have a hard time with the new husband? I can't get past his "Babe" days!!

I also started reading a bad review and stopped and decided to watch and see. I'm glad I did. I thought it was as good as always!

:D :D :D

OMG! I was cracking myself up after he and Ruth were "done"...I kept saying "That'll do, pig...that'll do..." :teeth:

EXCELLENT season opener - wouldn't be surprised if this was submitted for an Emmy.

I wish I had (stopped reading) ! Not that what I read will form my decision for me - just kindof took the wind out of my sails.

Nate: I'm having a hard time deciding if his angst is more from guilt (he's happy in a way that she's gone and he's out of a marriage he really didn't want to be in) or if he realized after she was gone that he really, really loved her and wanted in the relationship?

Ruth's new husband is interesting. Married six times and a couple of kids who he does not see. Highly suspicious. Particularly since they married after only knowing each other for a few weeks. Think he is after her money?

ooh can't wait:cool:

I love this programme, and was really happy to read that the series is being aired - hopefully that will mean it will be coming to the UK soon :Pinkbounc

just have to live it through the dis lol until it gets here lol

I had meant to post something about the show on sunday yesterday. all I can say is WOW, that was a great show. It seems to be getting better! I can say the characters have actually grown on me. I wonder what will happen with Ricco and his family this year.
