We're going to Disneyland Sept. 1 - 5 to celebrate our engagment. Anyone have any ideas for something fun and romantic we might to to mark the special occasion? I've booked us for a character breakfast, and a princess lunch... But I would do that anyway! This is our first time to Disneyland, and we're really looking forward to it!

We had dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. The grandmas watched the boys that night, and DH and I got to enjoy a leisurely dinner. Kenny Sara and his band were playing, and they are really good! The night that we were there, someone put in a request (there's a tip bowl in front of the band) and they announced that someone had just proposed and she said yes! They played We're Getting Married or some other song, really fun and nice.

Make a wish at Snow White's wishing well at night.

The Sun Wheel at DCA while the sun sets.

Sneak a kiss under the moonlight of the Redwood Creek Challenge Area. There is a very private log you can walk through.

Do you have a special song? You may be able to have the piano player in the patio of Coke Corner play it for you.

Watch the fireworks arm in arm.

Congratulations! We are going this week to celebrate our engagement (and my b-day). I think the suggestions made above are good ones. The most important part is making the most of your time together and not getting caught up in rushing around to get onto rides. I would agree the fireworks and the private areas of the park are great. Just enjoy yourselves and take plenty of pictures to capture those moments!

Well said. There is no point in rushing to get to all your favorite rides, it jsut makes it stressful. If you are going there for one day or more, do one day with the kids, and then another day go by yourselves, I'm pretty sure they have a day care sort of place in the parks, I know they do in WDW.
