Any restaurant where I can see Illuminations from?

I know you can see Wishes from California Grill, but is there any restaurant that you can get a good view of Illuminations? Last year, we could see some of the fireworks from the windows near the Yachtsman, and I'm wondering if anywhere has a better view that y'all know of.

Alternatively, if I made a 6:30 PM dinner reservation somewhere in the Boardwalk area, that gives me plenty of time to get back for Illuminations, right?

You can see some of the really high fireworks from the Boardwalk, but not much more.

Look at a map of the world showcase and you can kind of see which places will give you a view. Each has their own plusses and drawbacks. Rose and Crown gives one of the best views but you are partially blocked by a low wall. La Hacienda de San Angel has a pretty good view but the roof kind of blocks some of the higher fireworks. Tokyo Dining has a decent view from the window seats, and you can also kind of see them from Chefs de France and Bistro is you have a window seat. You can try to stake out a patio seat at the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico for a fantastic view, but be prepared to hold that puppy down for like an hour, possibly 2 if it's a busy day.

The main drawback to all of these is that you are not guarenteed a window seat or a terrace seat at any restaraunt. Its first come first serve, and people will take those seats in a heartbeat.

Thanks. We've done it at Rose & Crown before, and while the view was good, it was FREEZING, so we were in a tent.

Rose & Crown, however when it gets close to illuminations time people do not tend to leave their tables, they tend to eat a lot slow. Also Les Chefs has some tables that you can get a partial view. Lastly you can eat at the fish and chips place next to the rose and crown for a more casual counter service meal.
