trying to research and decide what to do on our Western cruise. I would love to do stingray city and rum point but we are only in port for a short time 10:30-4:30...would love to read your reviews.

I've been to Stingray City twice and loved it both times. Other than just sitting all day on Seven Mile Beach, I can't think of anything else I'd enjoy nearly as much in GC.

did you book through dcl or on your own? we've done stingray city but would like to do it again but would like to do something else as well...just not a lot of time in port.

I'm actually looking at Fat Fish adventures, booking a jet ski tour on our own to stingray city and two other places.

We did the jet ski tour to stingray city and it was the highlight of our cruise. I have jet skied in the past and I have to say it is a bit of an extreme tour. MY husband and 10 year old son were a bit scared and brang up the rear the whole time but still talk about it a year later on a weekly basis.
We are 50 years old, a bit out of shape and adventurous and it was really great so I say go for it!

We were on the Western 5/28-6/4. IN GC we did the Rays, Reef, & Rum point through Native Ways. It was the best excursion of the trip for us. Just us (family of 5) and another family of 4. It was started raining very hard on the drive from the port to the marina and then all the way out to Stingray City. The boat we were on had an indoor cabin so it wasn't bad at all. I felt bad for all the other excursions that were on the big open catamarans for the ride out in the pouring rain! Rained again a little while we snorkeled, but cleared up nicely for the beach time. I would recommend them!

We booked all of ours with Disney and did the Dolphin Discovery on Cozumel. The Dolphin part itself was fun but don't spend the money for an observor ticket. They can't see anything at all. Also the pictures are crazy high. $70 for pictures of each person in your party. It would have been $140 for 20 pictures of my daughter and I. We did the shipwreck and reef snorkel tour on Grand Cayman and it was ok but we had bad weather. No one can help that. I was glad to have an excursion for that day booked because we didn't have to wait in line for tender ticket that way. We couldn't find anything that fit us on Jamacia so we shopped a bit and went back to the boat to relax and enjoy the less crowded areas.
