Any RECENT reports of Comfort Inn Bahamas for Atlantis?

Hello! I was searching for information regarding booking a room at the Comfort Inn, versus paying throughout DCL for the Atlantis water parks. The most recent I've see was in 2012. Has anyone done this recently? What is the downside of choosing this way, as opposed to booking directly through DCL?

you will have to catch a taxi yourself to and from (about $20 each way for a family of 4) and purchase your own food as lunch isn't included. Room at CS will only get you access for 4 people max/room.
