We will be staying at PBH and would like to do a load or two of laundry midweek. I know that we need to go to RPH or HRH for laundry. We have stayed at RPH and enjoyed the convenience of the laundry beside the pool. Is the HRH laundry located near the pool? Anyone used the facilities recently? Just wondered how busy it is during the middle of the day. Thank you for any information!

Just returned, so I will post our experience. We stayed 8 nights at the Portofino resort. We knew with the heat that laundry was a necessity. No way that I was packing a weeks worth of clothes! I packed for 4 nights so that I could do laundry at the halfway point of our trip. We placed our dirty laundry in a rolling duffle bag and grabbed the pool bag for our adventure. We walked the shortcut route to the Hard Rock around 1 p.m. We had spent a very early morning at Hogwarts and were ready for a break. We giggled lots as we rolled our bag into the Hard Rock lobby. The valets asked if we were checking in and hubby said no - just here to do laundry. The valets laughed and explained where the two laundry rooms were located. They told us to bring it back to the front and they would fold for a small fee! Just made us giggle more. We chose the laundry room on the 2nd floor. There were 4 washers and 4 dryers. None of them were in use. The cost was $2.75 each. We filled the washers and explored the resort and shops. The Hard Rock is the one resort we have never stayed. After the washer time expired, we moved the laundry to the dryers. There was still no one in the laundry room. We then headed to the pool. Our 10-year old enjoyed the slide (which he said was faster than Portofino) and pool games and my hubby and I sat at the bar enjoying a drink. After the dryer time ended, we loaded up our fresh clean clothes and walked the shortcut back to the Portofino Hotel. It was super easy and quite an adventure!

Haha. We'll put that on the list of fun things to do when people ask how to fill their week at Universal!!!

Thank you for posting. I will be staying in PBH next year and was curious how this would work.

So are there laundry facilities at HRH at the pool?? We are staying at HRH and will need to do laundry before moving on to our Disney Cruise.

There are also the same facilities on the forth floor. None by the pool.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Portofino and we did our laundry at the Royal Pacific resort. There were two laundry rooms one was on the 1st floor of tower 1 and the other was on the second floor of tower 3. Both were practically empty. We did one load in the room beside the pool and 2 loads in tower 3. Our prices were $2.50 per load for the washer and the dryers. Don't know why its cheaper at RPR than HRH. By the way, the dryers worked wonderfully and our clothes dried in one cycle! I don't think that has ever happened in a hotel laundry before.

Our children (ages 8, 13, and our 14 year old nephew)played in the pool and my husband decided we needed ice cream from the place by the pool!. When I came downstairs after putting the clothes in the dryers, my kids were ecstatic and drinking smoothies! This was quite interesting because I had not given them any $$$ and I couldn't figure out how they paid for the drinks. After lots of giggling, they told me they won the smoothies during a pool game and now they want to stay at RPR next time.

At Hard Rock, we used the laundry room on the 2nd floor. We went down one level to the pool. It was very convenient.

Dryers worked great at Hard Rock too! We only used one cycle to dry full loads of clothes.
