Any reason we should go on Stitch?

Seems the whole DIS team loathes this ride, along with most people on the boards. First trip to DW since they've had it, and I know it's going to appeal to my DH and DD. Should I cave and go, or try to convince them to move on to other (better) attractions? Any redeeming value at all, or will I kick myself for wasting my time?

Personally, I love this attraction and know many other DISers who do. I think you should go and experience it for yourself. Remember that every has the right to their opinion; yours just may be different.

I don't even know how Stitch is still open, but if there isn't a line it won't hurt to do it once. I did. I don't know how old your DD is, but it is a dark and can be scary. I wouldn't wait in any kind of line for it, but for the curiosity factor it's something to try one time. Who knows, there are some people that like it, maybe it will become one of your faves. (I highly doubt it though )

Nope - no redeeming value at all. Save your time for something more interesting, like Hall of Presidents.

I think you should always experience every ride for yourself you know what they say one persons trash is another persons treasure!;)

I'm with those who hate it and think it is a waste of space. I did it once when it first opened and one more time about 2 years ago just to make sure I still hated it. My wife and daughter have never been on it and don't ever intend to.

That said, I'd suggest doing it once just to see what everyone is talking about. Odds are you won't ever want to repeat the experience.

I'm in the "try it at least once" club...it never has a line so the longest you will prob have to wait outside is 5-10 minutes...it's certainly not one of my favorites, but I will still go on it sometimes just because...and just so you know, it's not really a ride as you don't actually move...more of an attraction....and as someone else said it does get pretty dark and loud so smaller kids may not like it (though my DD had no problems with it when she was 4)

I say there is always a good reason to go on any attraction in WDW at least once. They are all done to very high standards.
After you have experienced, you may decide you don't want a repeat. But you need to know for yourself!

I have actually never been on this attraction, and never planning to do it. I HATE, HATE, HATED it when it was Alien Encounter, so nothing that even resembles that attraction is something I want to do. I wish they would just put something totally new there.

Give it a chance and see if you and your family like it instead of skipping it based on the opinion of others. Every attraction at WDW is well themed and imagined, and is no exception.

If your kids like Stitch and aren't too young or easily frightened, they might actually like it. You may be surprised to find that you don't hate it yourself.

This is what I think. I hate the attraction myself but you should try it and determine that for yourself.

If you want to see it for yourself then go do that! :thumbsup2

It might scare little kids and is horribly insipid for everyone else, but you can't know that for certain until you go see it for yourself. :)

It is air conditioned, so that's a good thing. There is rarely any kind of wait. What the heck.

Just don't say, "Oh, it sucked, why wasn't I warned?" Because you were. :)

I was fine with it when it was Alien Encounter.

The part that made me absolutely LOATHE this attraction and warn people to stay away is that they deliberately spray the smell of a chili dog burp in your face. I wanted to hurl. It was worse than the "skunk" at Journey Into Your Imagination.

If they got rid of the chili dog smell, I probably would sit through this attraction if someone I knew wanted to see it.

As of you, you couldn't pay me enough money to see it.

I like this attraction a lot - but I am also a big Stitch fan so that helps.

Even if the experience is not your 'cup of tea' you should go to see the audio-animatronic Stitch - it is one of the most advanced that they have ever done (except for President Obama in Hall of Presidents).

I think I appreciate it for the art of the audio-animatronic more than the other aspects.

The same was true of the Tiki Room - the Godess Whats-Her-Face was the same generation animatronic as Stich and in my opinion she was the best part.

Geek out!!!!

I also enjoy Stitch as a character so I enjoy the attraction. Do I do it every time I am at MK. No but would be sad if they took it out.

I'm not really sure I could come up with a "reason" to partake in any attraction in WDW other than the fact that it might entertain you and you have paid for the right to find out whether it does or not.

I have heard of parents with autistic children that say certain attractions calm their child, or get them to talk for the first time.

They have a "reason" for visiting that attraction.

I think most folk's "reason" for visiting an attraction is "because I wanna".

Give it a try. It's 10 minutes and then you will know whether you have a "reason" to do it again.
