Any reason to not buy AP today

I am going in March of 2013 and will be buying DVC disc APs. Is there any reason to not buy today and start date then. Seems it is likely price will increase, and I cannot see a reason to wait.

In that case, I wouldn't wait. If I had the money and there is a good possibility they will go up, I would buy them now.

Buying Disney Passes is a good investment, as prices (almost) always go up approximately annually.

If you have a voucher (or exchange certificate or will-call reservation) for an AP it can be exchanged at any time for that AP as long as you still qualify. If you purchase a DVC AP Voucher, when you convert it to a live AP you will have to show your DVC Member Card. And the expiration of the AP will be one year from the date you convert it to a live ticket.

When you purchase a voucher, does it need to be converted into a pass within a certain amount of time? Or is the voucher good forever?

I just purchased our DVC AP vouchers online last night. Didn't want to take the chance.

Rumor has it that the DVC discount on APs will be more generous than in the past, making the new price $425 before tax. The current price is $419. See the thread on the DVC board from last week:

If speculation turns out to be true, then the price increase to DVC members will not be significant. If I were a DVC member with unused tickets to use towards an upgrade, I would wait. If I didn't have unused tickets, I would purchase MYW 6-day hoppers from UT and use those towards an upgrade to an AP.

That's good to know since kid and adult aps cost the same now.

Btw Marrionnette, have you heard anything about that Acme gift card Catalina deal from last June? If it is coming, I'm thinking next week.
