Hawaiian arrives a bit earlier than Delta and we like that. Delta is a little more expensive. Any reason not to fly Hawaiian and fly Delta instead?

Any specific transport from the airport to the resort you recommend or dont recommend?

I’m not stalking your posts, I just know that I can give an answer on this one 😂

We have always had a great experience with Charley’s Taxi for the airport transfers! Can’t speak to the airline since we fly from Toronto, but have heard great things about Hawaiian.

Please stalk and give me alllll the help :) Got a note down for Charleys! Thanks again

Well I stayed up til almost 3am researching flights and when I saw Hawaiian price jump by $30 i got paranoid and I booked it. Hopefully it’s a smooth flight, I will update here how it goes in a couple months.

I would book with the cheaper option for flights. I'd also recommend Charley Taxi for impromptu (no advance planning needed) transportation from the airport to Aulani.

I’d book DL over Hawaiian in this instance because DL has a bit more legroom in general. The one time I flew Hawaiian I actually did miss that extra couple inches. Article

Yeah, if I'm unfamiliar with an airline, I'll always check seatguru to know their layouts, seating space, and seats to choose/avoid, especially for a long flight.

I don't have any experience with HA, but I can tell you that we really enjoyed our flight on Delta. If you can swing the upgrade to Comfort+ I highly recommend that.

Instead of SeatGuru, I've moved to https://www.aerolopa.com/ to check layouts. SeatGuru hasn't been updated in a long time and much of their information is now outdated.

SeatGuru is a shell of itself, the information is extremely outdated because TripAdvisor stopped investing in it several years ago. Much better to use AeroLopa or SeatMaps instead as they are kept up to date and give more detailed info.

Thanks. To be transparent, we fly jetBlue 90% of the time and I know their planes so haven't really needed to check it out recently so this is helpful!

No problem, I actually found out about this for similar reasons…loyal JetBlue customer who only recently started venturing out a bit more due to cutbacks on our preferred route to MCO. We swapped to Delta for our upcoming trip in September and I found myself having to research plane configurations.

Thanks for the replies everyone. For some reason I want getting notifications on this thread. I came to update that I booked Hawaiian and the flight dropped in price and they don’t do any type of credit for the difference. Even when booking the mid tier. Ouch! $600 lesson learned.

Unless you have or want status with Delta, I would go with Hawaiian. Their in-cabin service is similar.

I've always used Uber and Lyft around Oahu and have always been happy with the price and service.

Id love to have status with them but I never choose them because they are always so much more than any other airline.
