DH has a seminar at the Universal Lowes Royal Pacifica hotel (3 night stay), and DS 21 and I are going to go down to Orlando too. On one of our days we are going to do a one day park hopper to hit Universal/IOA. We will buy a convention ticket for DH $100 for a 2-6 p.m. park to park (We'll just have him see the Harry Potter areas as he is a fan of the books and movies -- walk around Diagon Alley, take the train to IOA and do the castle tour). We'll probably only get him there by 3:15 due to convention sessions that last till 2:30 p.m., and parks close at 6 p.m. -- Tuesday Nov. 15). We will also buy two full price one day park to park tickets $155 pp (DS and I will do rides and other attractions morning and early afternoon before meeting up with DH). Since we know we are going, is there any reason not to buy the Universal/IOA tickets online in advance? I don't imagine that there are any discounts or anything for one day tickets? I've only seen deals for multiday ones, but figure if we know we are going I might as well go ahead and get the tickets so we already have them and don't need to bother with that when we are there? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Miscellaneous info just in case you are interested.
DS and I have already been to all the Harry Potter stuff in the parks (did a day Dec. of 2014) and DS spent another day November of last year, but DH has never been. DS and I will also be going to Orlando a day earlier than DH (We love theme parks, but DH doesn't care for them). DS and I on Nov. 13th will be hanging out with Orlando and Tampa relatives and doing SeaWorld, then we will meet up with DH that evening and stay three nights at Royal Pacifica. DS and I will be doing the Magic Kingdom on Nov. 14th when DH has a very full seminar day, Universal / IOA our second day Nov. 15th, and then the last day before our evening flight home, we'll enjoy the pool while DH is in morning sessions if the weather cooperates, check out of the hotel, and all go see the Titanic attraction on I-drive. We'll then head out to the airport around 2:30 p.m. to give us plenty of time to catch our flight home. It's a short stay, but DS and I will get to hit our three very favorite Orlando parks (we count Universal/IOA as one park as one day works great for us based on our interests.). And DS gets to show his dad the Harry Potter areas which he has wanted to do ever since we first visited in 2014 since DH is such a big HP fan. The seminar is a perfect excuse for DH to see these without having to spend a full day in a theme park. I think this will really work out great.

I would buy the tickets in advance since your plans are already set

Buy online and do kiosk pick up for them

Thanks. I went ahead and got the tickets, so have vouchers to redeem at a kiosk or ticket booth. Thanks.
