I'm taking my mom to the California Grill to celebrate her birthday. I would love to special order a really awesome dessert to surprise her with - something along the lines of the Castle Cake or Cinderella's Slipper that they offer at the Grand Floridian. I know that those are only available at the GF. Does anybody know if there is anything special like that available from the Contemporary?

but I have no idea what it is. you can also probably order a cake to be presented after dinner. seems most of the restaurants have this capability. Call the restaurant directly about 36-48 hours in advance and see what they can do for you!

Hi! We took my daughter to California Grill for her 13th birthday two years ago. I called a few weeks before our trip and ordered a birthday cake right from the restaurant. (Sorry, I don't have the direct number anymore!) Anyway, I was given a couple of choices for the cake and we chose the chocolate ganache with fresh strawberries on top. It had yellow cake and milk chocolate mousse inside. Yummy! It cost $25 and was just added to the dinner bill.

We also had an anniversary cake at CG last December and this time we tried the white chocolate frosting with white cake and white chocolate mouse filling. Excellent! It was $25 and well worth it!

I'm not sure if the cakes were made at the restaurant, or if they were ordered from the Grand Floridian bakery and sent over the day of our dinner reservation. All I know is that I ordered them from the restaurant and they took care of the details. Hope this helps. Have a great trip!
