Any public area (besides CRT) in Cinderellas castle?

Like many children, DD8 is fascinated with Cinderellas castle and asked me if there are any public areas (other then CRT and the gift shop) that we can view?
Does anyone have a map of the castle you could post?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

there is a foyer type area outside the gift shop but when we were there in 04 that was it. unfortunately even a lot of the beautiful mosaics that tell the cinderella story were covered due to the show with the characters that is in front of the castle( what were they thinking with that one?????) maybe that's not permanent?

Part of the murals are only blocked during the show. Otherwise it is opened during the day. The best time to walk through, so you don't get cut off for the show, is after the last show and around the 3:00 parade. Now that the shows got cut down there'll be more time to see the murals.

Yep, just there this week.......the murals are only blocked off during the show in front of the Castle (Cinderellabration).

The only public areas of the castle are the store and CRT.

Not really. Just the store and CRT, as civileng68 said.

Disneyland did have a wonderful walk-through display of the Sleeping Beauty story, but closed it after the WTC attacks and haven't reopened it since.

This is one of the most asked questions by Disney newbies, and many people are shocked there is nothing actually inside - I'm surprised Disney hasn't done SOMETHING about it.
