My DH just finished a commercial software program, written in vb.net. :surfweb: He's written tons of programs before, but he's never commercialized any of them. He's looking to find out what others are doing for distribution and licensing. Thanks!

I'm a programmer, but I dont sell the software i write. I work for a company & do their systems. Anyone I have ever spoken to that does sell software says it is a tough gig. If you price the software to low poeple think it cant do much, price it too high & they want it for free :-)

I've written a lot of web based commercial software and find that licensing is the toughest. You can develop any kind of license agreement you want. I looked around online for license agreements and found some examples and used exerpts from there and added my own stuff. My license agreements won't be the same as your DH because mine are for web based software.

I would suggest a web site where users can purchase.
