Any problems sharing meals at TS restaurants?

My DH and I are trying to keep our trip this december on a low budget so we decided to forgoe the dining plan. I made ressies for Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time, in addition to some buffets.

Obviously, we'll be paying for everyone at the buffets, but for the TS, is it OK to split meals? One of the reasons we don't want to do the meal plan is that the $10.99 for DD is basically wasted money. She can eat off our plates and have plenty to eat.

My DH and I do this quite often, mainly because we aren't huge eaters and we want to have room for dessert. Many places will actually split the entree for you before bringing it to your table...:)

We did exactly the same thing, cancelled the DDP to save money. My two pre teen kids pay adult prices at WDW and it just seemed dumb to pay almost $40 a day for each of them.

We have always been able to share when paying out of pocket. When we have shared, I have generally left a bit more on the tip since my bill will be less but their duties won't be.

Sharing is a great way to save money, calories and wasted food!

At 50's PTC I mentioned that DS and DH were going to be sharing the Fried Chicken dinner and the waiter brought an extra plate. DH was very skeptical about not ordering an entree for himself, but we had MORE than enough food and couldn't even order dessert. (3 of the kids had ordered shakes and dh ordered a smoothie...all very filling too...and YUMMY!!)

At Peppers Mkt, (not TS) we found that we could feed several on one entree. One day 3 of us split the Taco Salad. Another time I split up a couple entrees between 5 of us! We always took our food "to go" and ate in the room or out at the tables overlooking the beautiful lake..and we avoided paying the extra 10% service charge. (I know you asked specifically about TS and this is CS)

We generally found portions to be overly large at most restaurants (TS & CS) and ended up sharing meals often.
