Our pipes have been making noise lately. This house is only about 6-7 years old. It's a "creaking" sound. It seems to have started about the time we turned the automatic sprinklers back on. It makes noise whenever any water is used in the house - or outside. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not a plumber and I have no idea what is causing this noise. Just thought I would bump this back to page one for you.

I'm not a plumber but I do know that air in the pipes can cause some really weird noises. That sounds like it could be a possibility if your sprinklers have been off all winter.

Im not a plumber but some times my butt crack shows

You don't charge over $100/hr to show it off, though, do you?

I do it for free

I've heard that air can do that, too. If the city is doing some kind of treatment to the water lines, they can get air in there. Sometimes they drain all the fire hydrants at this time of year, and that can cause air in the lines. Does the water taste funny at all? Many times it does while they do any kind of work.
