Any pics of people wearing way too hot of clothes?

Another jeans in the summer person. I agree with the other Floridians -- I get cold easily (such as in air conditioning) and have no problem wearing jeans in July. I think I own about three pair of shorts total. DH and I went to MGM this past summer and while in line to see the LMA stunt show I looked around and realized we were the only ones in jeans, everyone else was in shorts! We were fine though. I think you get used to it. And it's cool now, but I certainly need a jacket, fleece, whatever, but I see tourists walking down the beach in swimsuits!

I would also rather be caught dead than in shorts. I think guys should not wear shorts except on the beach and in privat. I know it's different in the States but here in Vienna, no matter how hot it's in the summer, you won't see many guys in shorts. Mostly tourists but no natives. I also think that if you wear long light cotton pants there is no difference to shorts concerning how hot it feels in them. And furthermore guys look ridiculous in shorts, well if you travel to europe and visit cities like Barcelona, Rome, London, Paris, Vienna..... guys should try to avoid shorts at least if they want to be among the sophisticated people :smooth: but as we all know to each his own. Concerning the guy in jeans and the turned up collar, well i wouldn't even notice him looks pretty normal.

I tried but couldn't find the old picture I have of me wearing a sweatshirt and jeans in June in the Magic Kingdom.
I always went to WDW in June, and wore long sleeves and jeans.

I only wear capri's to WDW. I've seen some people wear shorts and then bend over, and thought, "that is not going to be me."

I love 70-90 degree weather, not necessarily on pavement!

Merri, didn't you used to live up here in CNY? How on earth did you handle the winter up here? Congrats on surviving LOL! :cheer2:

Hey snowy-

Yes, indeed! I spent the last four years before heading south in Radisson. How did I survive? Well, I was meant to be a Southerner all my life and to be honest, I pretty much hibernated in CNY. Those winters almost killed me! I doubt I ever wore shorts!

Seriously, CNY is absolutely my favorite place I ever lived...but for the weather. Unfortunately, six months of winter is a bigger but than I could handle. So, we moved down to FL. But, if I could change the weather, I would move back in a heartbeat! How is Lake Ontario treating you this winter?

You will also see me in light weight pants or jeans and tennis shoes because 6 years ago I developed lymphedema in my left leg and I need to wear compression stockings on it. I am too self conscious to wear shorts with it. I'd rather people wonder why I'm wearing pants than look at my stocking. I miss wearing shorts. The only good thing is that I am also one of those people who is always cold, so now my legs don't freeze during the indoor attractions.

I am willing to bet that those people are from northern states where it is very cold. 50 degrees feels warm to some people. Not me I have to have 70 and above, but my DH would and is one of those with shorts in FL. When it is 50 in the winter.

My husband and I both lived in Montana (we now live down south) and I can say for sure that 55 degrees is the point at which everyone says "YAY summer is here, it's time for shorts!!" Typical winter temperatures in Nov and Dec where we lived would be 10-15 below zero so when that is winter, 55 is summer!!

If you ever see me not dressed to your liking, please do not take my picture, and please, especially, do not post it on the internet! Something about that just doesn't seem right.

The jeans/polo guy looked rather hip, at least the preppy/nerd look is hip in the big cities.

Yep, DS17 is one of those.
In fact he commonly wears shorts(pale hairy legs & all! :teeth: ) in 30 degree weather :scared1: I am forever harping on him to at least put on a sweatshirt  crap, it looks as if his parents don't care or can't afford a winter coat for the poor urchin!
for the bus stop, the kids can dress pretty lightly here--apparently, there is something called a 'winter weanie', which can be recognized by it's cold appropriate attire! :teeth:

Jean

Yup, here in Northern NJ too. The boys at my son's Middle School bus stop (him included) would never show up in anything too heavy. I think a sweatshirt and his baseball jacket was about as "bundled" as he got this year. Meanwhile his little brother & sister and I are all dressed like Eskimos.

My dh is like that too. I'd be willing to bet large amounts of money that my ds will be too. He's so hot natured that we keep have to keep his hair buzzed, otherwise he sweats whenever he runs around and plays. I, on the other hand, get cold so easily, as does our dd.

My 19 year old son's best friend is always in shorts. All during Christmas break when he would come over our house he'd be in shorts. They'd go out my son wearing jeans and a shirt, jacket and their was his friend in t shirt and shorts.

DH wears shorts ALL the time. If it's above 45 degrees, he's in shorts. I wear short sif it's hot enough and I am a little lighter than I am now. Last October I had finally lost all what I had gained with our youngest DD. I was tanned, lighter and felt pretty confident even though I still needed to lose about 20 lbs. I gained it all back over the holidays, and so far have lost about 7 lbs of it. DH and I just took a quick trip to Orlando and I refused to wear anything but Capris. I plan on getting all the weight back off(and more hopefully) before our next trip, so if the weather requires it, shorts it will be. And if men don't wear shorts much in Europe so be it, but I love a man with a good calf and my DH has great ones! :teeth:

To answer your questions..I could probably look thru pics we have and find people wearing jeans in very hot weather. I agree with a previous poster...the thing I notice the most are the women who wear stilettos in the parks....I just DO NOT get that. :confused3

Well, you know anything above 30 is welcome here if it comes without snow, so we think it's FABULOUS! ;) Oddly enough, we hardly got any snow before New Year's, and we've had quite a few days of sunshine with above-40 degree weather! All our snow -- even the lake effect -- keeps melting once every ten days or so and the skiiers and snowmobilers hate it! A few weekends ago it was in the 50s and we're getting close to 60 this weekend, can you believe it?? We may actually get spring ON TIME this year! :woohoo:

I don't really have pictures to prove it (actually I have ONE picture of DH for the entire vacation) but he NEVER wears shorts, period. Doesn't matter how hot it is. You will see him in jeans. So, yes, even in July at WDW the entire week he was in jeans.

We saw this guy at Epcot in July. It was so so so so so hot that day. We couldn't resist taking a picture of the cool guy in tight jeans and a popped collar.

I love what he's wearing. A lot of people in Portland where clothes like that. :)

I always wear jeans while at Disney no matter how hot it is. I'm self conscious and there's no way I'm wearing shorts. Besides, I find that jeans are much more comfortable. I can't remember the last time I wore shorts.

Well, I've been laughing (nicely of course!) about all the people who think wearing jeans in 80 to 100 degree weather is strange because being Canadian, we have the opposite problem! When in Florida, it really only needs to be 55ish and you will see us in shorts....with LOTS of people starring at us!!! LOL!!

Well after further review I guess its not that odd, to each thier own. The one thing about jeans would be getting wet-yuck, but at MK its only Splash I guess. Thanks for all the replies. :wizard:

I am 30 yrs old and have never, not even once seen my dad in a pair of shorts and we live in Mississippi. Some people are just not comfortable in shorts and its not really hotter. Actually, in the south you can see lots of women who work in their vegetable gardens wearing long sleeve cotton shirts, long pants and hats. It actually helps to keep you cooler and keeps you from frying your skin.

This was originally posted on the Theme Parks Attractions board. I guess since someone was asking for photos they moved it here :confused3 , but the post took a whole different direction than photo sharing......
