Any pharmacists or pharmacy techs here?

Look for job info for pharmacy techs. My local county college offers a course for this and I thought it sounded interesting, but don't really know much about it. I may be considering a career change in the not-to-distant future.

What type of salary does a tech earn?

What type of hours? Shifts?

Benefits?

Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Thanks!

What type of salary does a tech earn? I can't really speak to all areas of the country, but around my part of it, they earn anywhere from $8.00 to $15.00 an hour, depending on experience, seniority, and type of place they're employed.

What type of hours? Full or part time...most places around here techs are in demand.

Shifts? Depends where you go...drugstore would garner you normal retail hours. Hospital or nursing home would give you the four basic shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd and swing...and the newbies get the "bad" shifts to start).

Benefits? Again, depends on where you work. Benefits for fulltime are usually comparable to any average fulltime job.

Again, this is just for my area...YMMV.
