any personal experience with Portland castle and Liverpool on your own

I had posted a few weeks ago about tours for the British Isle cruise and got some great replies
one suggested taking the free shuttle to Portland Castle for the Portland dock
sounds easy enough since Im not sure if DH will want to go might to this on my own
and I have a terrible sense of direction and get lost easy

just making sure that the shuttle back to the ship is easy to find
Im not planning on spending alot of time there just would like to see it

next someone replied how easy it is to walk from the ship to see a few of the Beatles statues
and things like that while in Liverpool we do have a city tour booked here but will be back from that around 2
while in Alaska I did mange to walk around Kictchakan by myself with no problem still I just stayed on the main area

so if anyone has any personal experience with this please let me know actually any advice

Hello - I recently commented on a thread about Liverpool as I live nearby, we have been down to see the Disney Cruises come into dock a few times so know the location - hope this thread helps
