Any Penn State students????

If there are any PSU students currently doing CP, how does Penn State treat the college program......do they give internship credit, how many classes do you need to take to maintain full time student status for medical insurance purposes. My son's advisor told him to simply take the semester off, but, that doesn't seem right as he would would lose full time status for the entire semester and it would definitely affect his medical insurance. Does anyone know the answer?
