Any Pasta Suggestions...

looking for a place to carb load before running the Marathon in January. Any ideas or suggestions as to a reasonably priced option in the parks or at DTD.

Thanks for any help you seasoned trippers can give a WDW newbie!

You can check all the menus on AllEars to see who has pasta at the prices you are looking for. The ones I think of off the top of my head are Tony's Town Square & Mama Melrose. Tutto Italia is a little more expensive. But I'm not sure how much you need to eat. Is it more than one serving? If so, there are some buffets that have pasta. That would be your best bet.

Good luck in the marathon!

Thank you for the suggestions. I never thought about a buffet, but that might be a good option. I did not know about allears, but will definitely check it out. I don't need top of the line. :) Last 2 races I did Olive Garden for one and Pizza Port at Disneyland for the other.

Have a great trip next week!

AllEars is AWESOME!!! I always use them to plan my meals. The link I posted will take you directly to the page of menus.

Thank you! Maybe we will see you. :thumbsup2

Port Orleans Resort has a pasta window at their food court. It is actually good and not too expensive. You should be able to get your carb loading done there. Here is the menu from AllEars

Pizza and Pasta Shop
Served 11 a.m. - midnight

Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza 8" or 16" - $5.79 - $15.49

Breadsticks with Marinara Sauce $2.39
Baked Pasta of the Day (after 5 p.m.) $7.19

Create-Your-Own Pasta - choose from a variety of favorite sauces and fresh ingredients including Chicken or Shrimp $9.99

Good Luck with the Marathon

I second Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside. Their create-your-own pasta is well priced at $9.99 (including chicken or shrimp) and comes in Chinese takeout-style containers, which are conveniently portable.

I 3rd the Rivermill at POR--I love the Create your Own Pasta.
I would wait until after coming back from the Parks to eat there.
It is very good and not expensive. I'm hungry just thinking about it.
I would order Penne Pasta with Roasted Red pepper, Marinara sauce,
fresh Spinich, Artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes--Excellant!!

Wolfgang Puck Express is another relatively inexpensive option that offers pasta, including a chicken rigatoni Alfredo, a rigatoni bolognese and a spaghetti with tomato, basil and garlic. I've never had a bad meal here, and it's definitely cheaper than any table service restaurant.

Good luck in the marathon!

How about IL Mulino at Swan. Great pasta full or 1/2 portions.

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck's Express in DTD.

If you want great pasta for your carb load that is where to go.

Can't wait to go back there myself, it was that good!!!

Thank you all so much for the help. The marathon is 2 weeks away and this is a huge thing I can check off the planning sheets.

I am thinking I will go with POR. I wasn't going to do much park time on Saturday so I could rest, so this might be a good time to check out some of the non-park area.

I'll keep Puck on the burner as my back up plan.

Have a great new year everyone!

Good luck with the marathon! Definitely agree about checking out allears. The menus on there always give us a good idea as to where to eat. We liked Wolfgang Puck and Wolfgang Puck Express, but I can't think of any particular place in DTD that I would recommend for pasta...
