First year on 4 day we kept rental car and paid to park. Last year on 7 day we used Avis, returned and picked up, no problems. However this year I wanted to fly to Tampa, spend 2 days at beach, Universal 4 days, and then cruise and fly home from MCO, same cost as flying home from Tampa. But when I go to the Avis site I cannot pick up at Tampa and return at the Port. It says to call Avis. My question is, "Has anybody done this?", rent at Tampa airport and return at port. I have not call yet, asking first from the experts if this was none.

I'm surprised. I was under the impression that with Avis, you could do one-way rentals pretty much between any two points in Florida. Well, if you can't use Avis for this purpose... check Budget, Hertz, or National.

This past June DH and DS used Avis for their rental, took shuttle, picked up car and went on the West Palm Beach for a week,(myself and DD came on home:mad: ) but when they left at the end of the week they just took the car to the airport and left it there at the Avis dropoff with no problems. I would give them a call or if you went through a travel agent have them check it out for you. I was under the same impression as Dave about pick-up and dropoff.:smooth:
