I had to study a bit of LaVeyan Satanism for some class thing.
And from what i read, he's basically telling you the world revoles around you, and that you should bring people down to get what you want.. Am I right?

Also there is Lesser and Greater magic. And Lesser magic involves, some not-so-pretty things..

Of course I'm Christian and think the complete oppisite of what you think, and think its better to help others other than yourself..

I'm just wondering, do you ever feel bad about only giving respect to only those who YOU think deserve it?

Because to my religion, EVERYONE deserves it, no matter how bad they are..

Mmkay. For one, before I started getting bagged on certian churches and people don't respect gays. That doesn't mean every Christian doesn't.

I for one am not homophobic, and alot of people aren't.


Some churchs don't accept them, but not every single one.
Don't bag every chritstian because some of them are homophobic..

OK, for one, it says its forbidden to PRACTICE homosexuality. It doesn't mean God doesn't love/accept you.

Actually, if you'd care to pay attention to what you study, the Satanic Bible tells us to only disrespect those who harm us, or disrespect us in turn. It tells us to not tolerate idiocy and blatant stupidity. It tells us that while we are important, anything that makes us happy is just as important. So, if, say being an after-school mentor/tutor to a lesser-privileged child made me happy, I'd be well within the rights of my religion. Everything the Satanic Bible preaches is for self-betterment, I'll give you that, but it's also about bettering yourself and the lives of others at the same time.

If by "not-so-pretty things" you imply animal sacrifice, or harm, you couldn't be further off the mark. See Statement 10 below for clarification.

To answer your question about respect, no, I don't feel badly about giving it only to those I feel deserve it. Those people who are deserving of my respect happens to be just about everybody. I'm non-discriminatory, I'm non-judgemental as much as possible. I don't judge christians for their faith in their god and I don't judges buddhists for their beliefs, either. I don't attempt to force my opinions on others because I respect them for beliefs that they already hold. As an opposition in the religious spectrum, I respect you for believing stongly enough in your faith to state it aloud, even if we don't agree on the faith exactly, we both share one thing, and that's our faith in something. Anybody who can have faith in something to the point of devoting their life to it, or making it a public statement has my respect. I'm willing to give respect to all those around me. In fact, I can only think of one person who I don't respect as a human...ok, two, but one of them is a quasi-rapist. The other, well, let's just say he would have been Hitler's best friend. The Satanic Bible is my guide in life. It says, and I'll quote exactly, "3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there." That is the third of the eleven Satanic Statements, which are our eqivalent of the Ten Commandments. All eleven are as follows:

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

That specific ritual is meant for just you and a partner and you aren't forced to do anything. Nothing about this religion is forced upon you, it's all choice.

although im not wiccan, i do believe in a majority of what the religion is about. i was raised christian, and while i do hold some of those beliefs to be important still, i have found myself collectively drawing ideas and beliefs from other religions.

but on another note, i dont think its fair that people feel they have a need to judge another religion before knowing about what it is first, instead of assuming its bad as they may have been told. ive said it a thousand times and i refuse to get into another arguement about it, but no one has the right or the authority to judge anyone. but, i do believe everyone has the right to earn and lose someone else's respect.
