I just went to the bathroom (sorry if tmi) and there was a small "glob" of ewcm. It did stretch a few inches. Usually it is much more that a small glob, but does this mean I should be bd'ing tonight since it was such a small amount, or does the amount not matter?

Thanks in advance!

Ya...I would bd tonight. I agree that I don't think it matters how much ewcm, just if you notice it or not.

Hi BECKY

Just wanted to make sure I said bye to you before your internet connection is turned off!

You are the founder of this great thread and for that - we all owe you a big thanks!! Especially because this thread has turned into such a wonderful and supportive group. It is great that we all have a place to go to ask our TMI questions and to celebrate our BFP and to mourn our BFN!!

We will miss you Beck but we know you will check in whenever you are able.

For now though -- we want you to stay happy and healthy (no more morning sickness) and get back on your feet financially and when Ms. Vaylie comes - post some pictures!!

I know everyone joins me in wishing you well and saying thanks!

Hi guys-

I feel like I am soooo paranoid about what I can and can't eat while pregnant. I LOVE cheese, and I feel like I am never sure what kinds I can and can't eat. It's also really hard going out to restaurants because who knows what kinds of cheeses they put in the sauces and salads and stuff. The waiters never seem to know either. Am I just being paranoid?

Also, is Kraft Mac N' Cheese OK too?

How do you guys do it? How do you know what is in foods when you go out and eat and if it's safe? I need a specific list or something!!!

Relax! :goodvibes

MOst cheese is fine- there are warnings about soft unpasteurized cheeses (blue, brie)- but most cheese in America is pasterurized. I still eat blue cheese in small amounts. :confused3 My doctor has assured me that most things are just fine.

Lunch meat- I don't eat it that much anyway, but most ofit is precooked- you could warm it up if you are still anxious. Same with hotdogs.

Basically- sushi and alcohol are the big "no-no's".

Pokey, my OB told me to watch out how much Brie and Blue cheese (gag....) I ate - not that I couldn't have them, just not a lot. He also said there are some warnings about lunch meat, but most stores it is so well cooked, that it isn't a huge issue. As far as mac and cheese, go for it!

Becky - We'll miss you! Check in often (especially with baby pics!!!!!!)

Mickeybar - do it. Can't hurt, might help :) EWCM is just another sign, and some people always have it, some never do.

Take care everyone!

Oh, man. Make me cry, why don't ya? ;)

I am going to miss you girls. Even though I started this thread when I was still TTC, I have made so many friends on here, and your problems become my problems, your joys- my joys, and your sorrows, my sorrows. Everyone on here is SO great and supportive, and I'm glad there's at least one place on the DIS for that! :teeth:

I will check in! And I will certainly post pics as soon as she gets here!

For now- you all stay positive and healthy and eat cheese! Don't worry about your 2ww!

Have lots of

BABY DUST

Do a little

And have fun!! :cloud9:

Andrea - HI. We have moved a lot. I am becoming an old pro at it. My MIL comes down and helps with the packing and unpacking which is a great help. She actually drove with us from Chicago to Florida so that was nice. I am sure we will move again sometime.... I don't care for it down here so it will be a welcome move!! I am nothing if not up for adventure and with a newborn I am sure it will be just that!!!

My mom moved from Boston to S. Jersey when I was 2 weeks old...

Becky...be well, safe and healthy!! :sunny:

We will all be thinking of you, and I know you will check in when you can! Thank you for all of your help and advice - and for starting such a great thread!! :thumbsup2

Becky.... :grouphug: We'll be awaiting updates and pictures. And, don't be afraid to bum off of someone's computer if you're going visiting. :teeth: No shame in asking to see how it works. ;)

I got my u/s last night! There is 1. It's heartrate was 141bmp. It measured right on at 7w. I got a picture and everything. I'm calling it Mini Me. :goodvibes

I need some objective advice. I live next door to a lunatic. I know I moved to an agricultural town and that's fine - if it's not roosters, it'd be barking dogs in the 'burbs, right? Anyway, my idiot neighbor set up some sort of farm. He has horses. He has chickens. He has roosters. He's violating a few town ordinances, which I plan to report. But, I honestly had no idea the extent of this hell until today. There are PILES of horse crap all along our property line. I was walking it with the fence woman. I'm talking PILES of it. Granted, we don't use that part of the property (we have 5 acres), but that's not really the point. Then, we walk some more and there are chickens....just wandering around. They're on MY property! He just lets them roam free!! They were all around our feet (I admit, I kicked one back over the line). Anyway....the fence is going to be REALLY pricey. My options are as follows:

1. Suck it up until springtime (it's going to be cold and snowy here soon, so what do I care what goes on outside??) and pay down my rewards credit card (that just financed my new driveway) and use that in the spring to pay for the fence.

2. Take out a new or refinance my current home equity loan. It's under $10,000, so it's not a HUGE deal and at least the interest rate would be fixed and the interest tax deductible. But, do I REALLY feel like going through that hassle on top of everything else?? They might want an appraisal and there might be closing costs and crap like that. Is it REALLY worth it??

The fence woman said I could put down a deposit, sign a contract, lock in the price, and call them back whenever I'm ready - I guess a lot of people can't afford to just pull money for a fence out of their butts. :)

There's no way I'm selling this place with that horror show going on next door. So, it's really not an option to NOT put up the fence. This is my lowest estimate...by about $5,000....so, I'm definitely going with them. I just hate that I'm being put in this position by this jerk.

I'm just so annoyed. :furious: I should be happy and saving money for BABY things, not for this BS. :furious:

Is it possible since we BD last night, that it could be leftover semen? We BD last night around 8 pm, and I noticed the ewcm today at 2 different times afternoon.
I'm only on cd12.

Thanks Becky for starting this wonderful thread! I don't know what I would do without it! :goodvibes

Carla, is it an option to ask the neighbor to pay for part of the fence? I am in CA and many people do "Good Neighbor" fences where they pay half for the shared portion and they do alternating 6 foot sections facing each house. Although, if he is that nutty, it may not even be worth it. I would check out upping or refinancing your equity, that way you get a little tax break.

Becky, Thank you for this thread. I can't wait to "officially" begin TTC.

Saturday is my last real BCP, I don't take the "fake" pills. Even though we are wanting to wait until January, if it happens before we won't be heartbroken. So, not officially trying until January, but, not preventing it between now and then.

Kelly....Did you test yet today?

Carla!!! I thought it would for sure be twins. But- I am so happy that "Mini Me" is alive and beating!! Makes my day!! Well, that and knowing that before you know it YOUR little one will be kicking your bladder. That kinda makes my day too (in a naughty way). :lmao: I'm so happy for you! And, Ah, the country life. He he. I have no advice- although personally I'd probably wait and do the card, just to not have to deal with paperwork/re-fi and hassles before the holidays. That's just me though. Trust me- you'll be a lot crankier/fatter/emotionally unstable/uncomfortable by spring time, so maybe getting the fence now wouldn't be a bad idea. :teeth:

Becky, I wanted to thank you too for starting this thread, and also say that I'm going to miss you here and the PMS thread too! I hope that you can pop by every now and then and give us an update!!!!

Yes, I did test today....still a VERY VERY VERY faint line. Barely there (I question if my eyes are really just playing tricks on me!! ;) ) - probably an evaporation line I am thinking. I am going to try and not test until Monday now - I will be pretty busy all weekend, so that will take my mind off of it. And Monday I will be 11 DPO.

So...I am planning on painting all weekend at my new house. If I am possibly pregnant - is this ok??? :confused3 I will keep windows open so that the fumes won't get too bad!

Definately keep the windows open and maybe a fan going to blow the fumes out. I think it would be too soon to do any damage. But, I am not a dr.

Yeah Carla -- glad to hear mini me is healthy and kicking!!! I too would have bet anything it was twins!!

As for the fence -- I would bargain with the guy and tell him you can't live with the smell and chickens and other stuff and you are putting up a fence but it is expensive so either he splits the cost with you or you report the violations -- but I would say the above MUCH nicer than I just did...

Good luck!!

-Nicole

Hi Kelly- hope you're pg! Either way, you should be fine painting with the windows cracked and maybe a fan. If you're not comfortable, you could always wear a disposable mask.

My bbs are sore! They always get sore before af, but I'm not due until the 3rd. Hope it's a good sign. I always thought you usually don't get a bfp until closer to af due date. How many days po are all of you getting your bfp? Would like one soon! :wizard:

Kellyf -- a faint line is good assuming you are not using a digital and looking at that line --- are you using a regular pee on a stick and getting a faint line? I have read countless times on this line that a line is a line is a line....but I am pretty sure that does not apply to digitals.

If you are using a digital - go to the $ store and buy a pee on a stick test with actual lines!!

Good luck!!

Here is hoping you get some good news.

-Nicole

I wish all of you trying now good luck :wizard:!

AF came yesterday :confused3 . My dh says that I can't feel sad until we have been trying for six months. Well, to stay positive and keep my focus on other things, I am planning a cruise this summer if we are not expecting. Now I have to find a way to tell Dh about the cruise. . . :rotfl2: .

Here's to month two of trying.

Nicole...it is a digital, so I know looking at the line is not accurate. I have some other POAS tests, but they are packed! So...whenever I find them, I will do them! Probably sometime Saturday or Sunday when I start to unpack some stuff.

Kelly - sore bbs! Good sign!! :thumbsup2

I'm so low on time right now, it isn't even funny. This whole being tired all the time is putting a damper on me being able to get ready for our trip ;)

However before I totally forget...

Becky, I will so miss you around here. I hope you can check in often to say hi and keep us updated on how everything is going  I cannot wait to see pictures of your little one!!!

Carla, woo hoo for the Mini Me! Sounds like you have a good heartbeat there :) I am just so glad that you got your ultrasound in. Isn't it amazing to see that little heart beating?

Digitals and lines... my digitial tests did have lines on them as well. The 2nd line on all three  that I took were very pronounced and clear. I know you aren't supposed to go by that, but I did notice that after I took the stick out. I used Clear Blue Easy for those and they were awesome (it's great to have a pic that says "Pregnant" in it). I wasn't one who did test early, but I still can never recommend First Repsonse. I had a very very faint line on that one when I was considered *very* pregnant (levels in the 14K range)

As for foods... I was literally just talking about it with my dad. Cheeses are fine and encouraged by my doc as long as they are pasturized. Blue cheese, brie, camembert, gogonzola and even feta cheese are all considered ones to attempt to avoid. I was also told to avoid cold pates and meat spreads in addition to smoked foods that are not used in a hot dish. All these fall under the Listeria. The cold cuts do as well, but as long as they are heated to "steaming" it isn't an issue.
So american cheese is all good and I eat a lot of Kraft Easy Mac here.

Other than sea food, the only other thing that was tossed in my face was the use of Saccharin. I was told to *NEVER* use it while pregnant. And to avoid any artificial sweeteners as much as possible. That was something I had never heard of before.

Honestly the food thing for me, isn't a huge deal though. I just go with the flow and enjoy what I can. At the moment, there aren't a lot of exotic foods I seem to be able to eat anyway. I seem to eat a lot of "beige" ;)

Um... what else am I missing. Just wishing a lot of baby dust to all here. I hope to come back to a lot of BFP while I am on vacation. I might be able to check in some, but I'll most likely do it on my cell phone. I will be leaving early Sat so hopefully I will find to stop in again before we leave.

As hard as it is, try to relax as much as possible (for all those waiting). I can't imagine all Carla has been through, but the 10+ months it took to get pregnant were so hard on me. I wish I had been able to relax more at first because it might have happened quicker :)

I'll stop in when I can :wave2:
