i believe i can start round 2 right away and we will. my last appt before vacation she said if i start, just stop the prog and call and we can start the next round or talk and figure out other options if we want. i think we will just do round 2 the same. i can't afford the injectables right now. aren't those like $1000 OOP, not counting the IUI procedure? That's what a friend told me- like $100 a shot or something and you have to take a ton of them.lil mermaid said:Congrats, Jen! That is wonderful news. Also, congratulations on proving Carla and Nicole's mothers right.![]()
Michelle, I am sorryIf it turns out you aren't pregnant, do you get to start round 2 right away, or do you have to wait a few cycles?
i had 7 follicles and 4 viable eggs, so the clomid is obviously working. DH's morphology was slightly off (2 SAs), so perhaps that is it, although they said we should still be able to get pregnant anyways, it wasn't off that much.
if this one doesn't work, i am going to consider doing the lap. that was on of the options he gave us to being with- do a hamster test, IUI, injectables, IVF, lap etc. We chose the IUI. U/S show nothing wrong, die test was perfect. my follies were good and lining good. But he said perhaps I have endo due to my irregularity and painful periods/PMS. I guess they can only know for sure if you have it by doing the lap? Who has experience with that? How would endo stop you from getting pregnant? would the egg just not implant well due to the scar tissue? I wasn't sure of the mechanics.
I do have to remember the doc did say that he wasn't sure this cycle would take since i was on oral progesterone for 6 weeks (through my gyn, before i saw him) right before we started this cycle. he said that could decrease the chances/effectiveness (not sure why). but they offered to let me skip that cycle and go natural even due to decreased odds, but i still went for it anyways, so i can't be too disappointed. sorry for rambling!

What happens with work now? Do you get some sort of light duty or something??
everybody else!!!
i am so excited for you!
I just said a prayer for Danna and her precious babies. Please keep us updated.
You HAVE to be kidding me. I tell her to call scheduling since they said it would be faxed there, too. Nope. Don't have it. The lab lady, seeing I was about to explode, offers to page my RE. I later found out the message she left with the service was simply, "Have her call the lab." No mention that a patient was sitting there. My RE was with a patient and figured it was just the lab, not an emergency, and it could wait. I waited half an hour. Then, I freaked out. I told them I was leaving and I would just keep having m/c after m/c and, if they had done the tests back in July like they were supposed to, I wouldn't be there for the 3rd time. I went back to admitting and asked for a feedback form. The nice woman who checked me in asked if she could help me - and I started back into the hospital incompetence and how it's been faxed twice and the only reason I have to COME BACK was because the idiots at the lab not only didn't run these tests when they were supposed to, but can't manage to pick a fax off the machine. A few other people came over and gave me the name of a specific person to send a letter to.....I guess she's a higher up at the hospital and responsible for "quality control" or some crap like that. The admitting people kept asking why they couldn't just get the original order and compare it to the tests that were run and then run the ones that weren't done because those were them. Nope. I guess that's too much work for people who have nothing to do all day but tell people to put their pee sample in the pink tub.
