So - hopefully you guys "tried" all weekend. If you did, you should be covered!

Edited because I didn't answer your question: The sperm hangs around for awhile. If you actually did ovulate at the moment you felt the pain, and you had done the deed Friday night, or Saturday morning, it is likely that the sperm was already there when you ovulated, waiting for the egg to show up, so conception definitely could have occurred.

We "tried" Friday and Saturday night. DH was too tired Sunday night :sad2: . Do you think we should try again tonight, or is it too late if the OPK said I O Friday and I had the mittelschmerz Saturday?

Also, do you think it's a problem that we didn't do it Sunday night? I am so mad at my DH today for being tired! I know that is mean, but he can't get tired this week! :furious:

mickeybar, you should try checking out the fertilityfriend website - they have a lot of great information that can help you understand how your cycle works, how to tell when you are ovulating, when to "do the baby dance" to maximize your chances, etc. I've found it very helpful, and they have great info even if you aren't taking your temp and charting. It's www.fertilityfriend.com if you are interested. Good luck, and lots of baby dust to you!!

&&& Mickeybar! My ov pain usually lasted a few minutes at most. Just a sharp pinch, some cramping and then done. Hoping this is your month :O)

Carla - how are you doing? When is transfer?

Thanks for the info. I have gone to fertilityfriend but I thought it was only for temp and charting. I couldn't find any info on doing it naturally, or just with opk.

Is it a waste of time to try tonight (Monday) and tomorrow night (Tuesday) if I did the opk Friday and it said I was O and then I had O pain Saturday afternoon? I heard after you O it's too late to try anymore, but I am totally new to all of this!
Please help!

It is never a waste of time, is it :)

Anyway, back to the real question - if you got a positive OPK on Friday, you have probably already ovulated. The OPK detects the LH surge, which usually means you will ovulate within the next 36 hours.

I can tell my body is getting back into the "swing" of things because I have massive ovulating pains on my right side. Always have had that every month EXCEPT the last few months when I first got off of my bc and we started trying.

Maybe this time (next month) it'll be okay :)

i have horrible O pains and they last a lot more than a day. i get them before O, during and then sometimes get the pain when the follicle releases the egg. I have them worse on my right side, since i tend to produce more follicles there. I have horrible sharp pains, so much so that it can hurt to just even walk. It lasts 3 days usually at least.

I never had O pains before I tried clomid. I don't think I had actually ovulated previous to that. (started clomid only regimen for 4 months last year and have done 2 months this year with IUI). now i know for sure when i am ovulating, i definitely feel it. of course i produce a lot of follicles too (7 the past two months each), so it hurts more, plus i have large ones (one was 40mm!!!).

well here in San Diego working. the weather is awesome, especially since i am used to the dallas/tx humidity and heat. if only i had time to have some fun here instead of work.

i am TESTING tomorrow! i am so nervous and freaked out. tomorrow is CD 28. which doesn't mean a ton to me, since i am always irregular. clomid had regulated me a little more, but who knows. i've been overanalyzing every single symptom/pain, trying to figure out if it is PMS or something else. i usually get terrible PMS- including migraines a week before (didn't have), mild diarrhea (haven't had) and bad stomach pains (haven't had). so who knows. i have been very forgetful and tired. i passed out at 9:20 last night. of course i am just tired from working lots of hours too. who knows. no AF yet either. So i am doing two digital clearblue easy tests in the am (i want to be sure, so doing 2!). wish me luck. here is to a BFP!! i can't afford to do another IUI in october and have a schedule conflict with work (on the road during O time). so we would have to wait a month to do another IUI. i hope i hope i hope it is good news. if not, at least i know you guys are there with me! :thumbsup2 :cheer2: baby dust to all!!!!

What's the news. You are probably not even awake yet there in TX, but my fingers are crossed that you have good news.

Denae

Michelle,

I am going to keep all of my fingers and toes crossed for you. Please let us know how it turns out. I meant to tell you, I read your trip reports and they were awesome. You two are an adorable couple, and you are going to make some purty babies!

Michelle, did you test today or are you testing tomorrow? I can't tell from the DIS time. :confused3 I hope it was/is good news. :cheer2:

I'm just hanging out in the 2ww. I had some cramping....then it stopped. I don't know. I'm 7DPO today. 4 days past my 3 day transfer. I'm so bloated and I'm on the Toradol, so I spend most of my time shuffling to the bathroom and sleeping. :)

The entire world is on a mission to drive me crazy. I got a call today from a collections agency for my ER visit during my m/c. That's funny, I never got a bill. I knew it was coming. I knew I owed it. I was just waiting for them to be finished with BCBS so they could send me a bill. This hospital will also send you a little phone message reminding you about the balance. I didn't get any of that. This woman is trying to pull one over on me - treating me like a criminal. I finally told her I was a creditor's right's attorney for 2 years. My parents are medical billers. I'm not an idiot. Her games aren't registering with me. She told me I was being rude. I told her she was being rude. She claims it was a clerical error. Fine. Send me a letter stating that. She can't. Who can? Nobody. Wow...nobody in that office has fingers?

I call the hospital - because I know people in the billing office. They're fixing it.

This is not what I need right now. :guilty:

I hope everyone else is having a peaceful Tuesday.

Holy cow, Carla! Sorry the collection lady was such a PITA! How did I not know you had already done your ET? For some reason I thought you were doing a 5 day transfer! Best of luck to you, dear! Do you test early or wait for your beta? I don't know much about IVF, but what did you do with the other good eggies? Did you freeze them? And you transfered 2 back, right??

&&&& Michelle! Hoping you got fab u loso news this morning and are out celebrating!

Hi girls.

I just got out of the hospital (AGAIN). I got to spend 4 days in ICU and 3 days in intermediate care. Fun. This was my fifth hospitalization in 3 months.

THIS time, it wasn't due to my hyperemesis, though. Apparently the catheter that they put in my chest in Aug. to feed me when I was really sick was growing bacteria- SO I ended up with a bacterial infection in my blood, which apparently is very serious- hence they sent me to ICU (I didn't feel all that bad, but my blood pressure was extremely low and my heart rate extremely high and I was running a fever of 102.9).

They removed the catheter from my chest, put in a central line so I could still get Ivs (I have NO veins left), and started me on massive rounds of antibiotics.

This pregnancy is doing its best to kill me, I swear.

But, at least now I am back home (again) and I get to have my big u/s on Thursday!

I hope everyone is doing well!

How are the 2ww'ers?

((((BEcky))) what a mess! I just had another good friend go through the SAME THING last week! She is due when I am (so 11 weeks) and she ended up with sepsis from the catheter in her chest! She was terrified - apparently there is a 65% mortality rate!!

Hope you are on the mend and that baby cooperates on Thursday! What is your intuition?

OMG, Becky, I'm so sorry. :grouphug:

That little guy/girl better behave for your ultrasound. Hey, maybe you'll have an easy labor. :thumbsup2

Intuition says girl... I just sort of feel like that's what it's going to be. And (not that I put much faith into this, lol) the Chinese Gender predictor says girl. AND- from the research I have done on hyperemesis, it seems like most people who have severe hyperemesis have girls. BUT- I'd love a little guy, too. I just can't wait to find out- it's also Daddy's (dh's) birthday on Thursday, which makes it even more special.

Unless, of course, the little one doesn't copperate- but DARN IT- after all I have been through, he or she had BETTER show me what they've got!

And 65% mortality rate, huh? BAH. I refuse to do anything but deliver this baby, happy and healthy. I have come TOO far and suffered TOO much to not end up with my baby in my arms come March.

I must say, though- this time in the hospital was much scarier. I had a team of doctors around the clock, and even though I didn't feel like I was dying, they were kind of treating me like I could- which was scary. But- I'm way too busy to die. So, :p

Becky -

I think you should be nominated for sainthood. You poor thing.

Denae

Michelle? We are waiting....

Carla, same thing happened to me with 2 of my ER m/c visits (the last time, I finally was smart enough not to GO to the ER in the first place.) 2 different ER's,2 different states - no bill, just a call from collections. Anyway, I am SO hoping you have good news this month.

Poor Becky! You are a saint. I am so sorry that all of this is happening to you and that you get to find out on Thursday.

We rented a doppler, and last night we were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was the most wonderful sound! I am having an ultrascreen on Thursday. I am nervous, but mostly excited because on Thursday I will be 12 weeks. DH and I have decided to tell everyone as long as we see a live, kicking baby on Thursday. We haven't told ANYONE in real life. The only ones who know are you guys, and that is it.

Just checking up on everyone here.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is doing great and lots of BFP!
