QOTD- I haven't really changed much. I take a daily vitamin with folic acid and calcium (and other stuff too) and I have in general been trying to eat better even before we started TTC. I wanted to lose some weight before we started and lost 15lbs. I am trying to get back into exercising. I had been doing well and then Dh broke his ribs and I literally had to drop everything for weeks and weeks because he couldn't do anything. Other than that, I'm not a big drinker (maybe I have 1 drink a month!) and I don't smoke so that isn't an issue. I think just the trying to be healthier thing.

Busy day here so I finally got to catch up and read what y'all are up to :)

QOTD 5/5: Honestly, I haven't changed much. I have been taking a multi-vitamin for a long time now and it happens to have a good source of folic acid. I probably can even stay on that one in the prenatals were too hard on me. I have already gotten in shape for other reasons, dropped 70 pounds or so and now exercise often. So those are just good habits I have now for during pregnancy and after :)

Quick question for those of you who know exactly the day you ovulate...

Do your breasts hurt that day or the day after? I didn't temp much this month, but I think my soreness is related to that.

Thanks!

My breast do indeed hurt the day and the day after (sometimes a few days after that). I take it you are gonna be busy tonight....woo hoo!!!! :teeth: ;)

QOTD - I have been taking pre-natal vitamins (with 1,000 of folic acid), taking robitussin to thin out CM 5 days prior to ovulation, drinking plenty of grapefruit juice prior to ovulation and exercising. My hubby has also made changes....he takes vit. C, vit. E and zinc - to make his "little buddies" superior and strong swimmers. ;)

Well, once you O, it's too late to conceive, right?

Anyway, no action for me tonight. sniff, sniff. I'm not counting on a BFP this month - I just don't think we sexed on the right days.

GL to everyone else, though!!

Well, my Dr. told me to do the deed 3 days before ovulation, the day before, the day of and the day after. You certainly are not as fertile the day after but there is still a chance conception can occur. :)

I'm not counting on a BFP either *double sniff* it is 7 days after ovulation and no symptoms yet.....

What's the thing with grapefruit juice? What's it supposed to do?

And no 2ww here yet- I should be ovulating (if this cycle is normal at all) somewhere between 10-14 days from now. I guess we shall see!

Grapefruit juice is EXCELLENT for thinning out CM...combined with robotussin...wow! ;)

I think the breast soreness is totally different among all women. Mine get sore just before my period (and the more caffeine I drink the more it hurts) As long as I am not pregnant, it starts about a week before for me, when my other PMS symptoms (cramping for me) begin.

:thumbsup2 Thanks!! I'll have to give this a whirl!

QOTD for 5/6 is in the OP!!

QOTD: I look forward to two things most: 1- feeling the baby kick and move. I cannot even fathom how amazing that must be. 2- my dh's response to my growing belly. He is already reading about prenatal communication, and plans on talking to the baby every day, and playing music, while the baby is still in utero.

The thing I look forward to least I am already experiencing. I take topamax daily for migraine prevention, but my dr. advised me to stop once we started ttc, and I am already getting bad headaches. I'm hoping that I'll be one of the lucky ones whose migraines go away during pregnancy. But if not, I'm going to be one miserable chick.

Hey my mom always says I was a robittusin baby, my mom had tried to get pregnant for a long time and then came down with a bad virus, took alot of robittussin and BAM here I am!! ;)

5/6 question
I am looking forward to feeing the baby kick, knowing I am creating another life. I am also looking forward to having an excuse for being fat, lol

I am not looking forward to morning sickness, it was so bad I had to go on meds. I know I am also going to worry about this one more, my last I had an abruped placenta and they said it will probaly happen again.

Isn't it funny that when you want to get pregnant everyone arround you is getting pregnant--some without really trying. We are starting Clomid again with ultrasounds--I really don't know what it entails but I have to go a website to find out how this is different from charting (ovulation perdiction kits).

After you take the Clomid, you'll go back periodically for the ultrasounds. Usually, about 3 days after you finish the Clomid, you'll go for the first one and then maybe every other day or every day to look at the follicles and let you know when they're ready and to tell you when to start doing your homework. ;)

QOTD 5/6: I am looking forward to not getting jabbed with needles every day and not having my blood drawn every day and not having daily appointments with the big old ultrasound wand! :rotfl: Although, I know that if I do get a BFP, I'll start having the ultrasounds at 5 weeks or when my beta hits 1,000, whichever comes first and that will continue until about 8 weeks when my OB will take over for my RE and I might get the chance to be treated like a normal pregnant woman. But, at least I'll have more to look at that my ovaries and my follicles, so the ultrasounds will be FUN. :goodvibes

My blood came back normal today! I really wasn't expecting that since I butchered the birth control pills. But, I started a new cycle today and I start the birth control pills today and, now that my blood is normal, my insurance company has no reason to hold up my extension. So, :-P to you, Blue Cross!

The woman who works at my doctor's office also swears by the Robitussin - but make sure you get the regular and not the stuff that has the decongestant. Stuff like that (Benadryl, Sudafed, etc.) will dry everything up. Some other people have said that pineapple aids in implantation. The fresh stuff, not the stuff in the can. I like pineapple, so I figure it can't hurt to eat it during the 2ww. :teeth:

How would you know if you need to thin out your CM?

People who have "hostile" CM are the ones that need it thinned out (it can be sticky and scant or too much thick mucus that won't allow sperm to swim well.) Most people don't need to....but it won't hurt those of us who have normal CM, it will just make it more abundant and slippery. :thumbsup2
