Elaine! Congrats!!

I was so shocked to hear that you delivered. It went by so fast - well, for me, maybe not for you! :goodvibes I had a 2nd degree tear, too. It healed really fast and easy, so don't worry. I highly recommend baths. I took one every single night.....to help the stitches, you know. ;)

Christal, I had a similar reaction to the HCG. It caused this burn-like welt at the injection site that itched like mad and hurt like a bruise. I used cortisone until the day of my transfer. My doctor said I could use it after that, but switched to cocoa butter just to keep it nice and hydrated and it didn't itch as much.

Jen, I'm sorry you're back on the glucophage. That stuff is AWFUL. But, if it works, it's worth it. :)

skuttle, I took your advice on the OPKs. I bought the answer ones at Wal-mart, but they only had a 7 pack for I thin $12. That should get me through this month, I think. If not, we'll see. I'll go get more or whatever. I may have to try a different walmart or this one after it has been restocked. Things were in terrible condition, especially the aisle I needed.

WE HAVE A HEART BEAT!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:
138 beats per minute!!! I can't believe it!!!
I'll post a pic soon!!
I'm so happy, of course I started crying at the office.

 :cool1: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :yay: :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo: :cool1:  :dancer: party: :jumping3: :Pinkbounc :rockband: :dance3:

There..That ALMOST expresses how happy I am for you!! (stupid limit on images!! *grrrr* LOL)

When we get home, I will try to upload pics to my sig link so y'all can see more. I don't want to waste thread space on that ;)

Allison I keep thinking of you with your appt week. I hope that something goes well for you! Oh and it's interesting, it seems like forever for me since I got the last BFP, it seems time flies for others when you are hopeful for them with pregnancy

My birthing story isn't fun at all to listen to from the outside. I developed a rare condition found in .2-.6% of all pregnancies called HELLP syndrome. One thing I will say ladies is if you feel like something isn't right, contact your doc. I was lucky in a way and I wound up getting better as quickly as I got sick (my kidneys, liver and a lot of other internal functions were totally shutting down on me). I did have to receive a blood transfusion today though. But HELLP syndrome made it so that I was only allowed certain pain killers and I had to be induced.
Poor Dom was on so many drugs thanks to me that he had a lower APGAR score (5) but he was fine by that night. So we both are *very* pale in that pic as my platelets were dangerously low right after birth.
Even with a small guy, I had a hard time delivering. I needed help to get him out (they really were trying to deliver me quickly) and I wound up with 2nd degree tearing thanks to the help of a vacuum to get him out. Trust me, that really sucks when you have pretty much no pain killers in your system

It truly wasn't that bad, and had I not been induced, I doubt I would have had any need for any drugs at all. So you all can do it when your time does come!

Moral of the story, be wise with your body and be ready to question your doctor if you feel anything is wrong. In the end we're both fine. I have a healthy little baby and my body seemingly is okay. I should be checking out tomorrow. Best part is that I am so in love :)

I have to thank all the ladies here though. I know I joined when the thread first started and it has been a long 2 years for us. I always hope and pray that you all (except Denae ;)) get that BFP very quickly!!!!!
I'll be around to support since y'all were so supportive of me during my good and bad moments.

Thanks for sharing!! I'm so glad that you're both doing good! Congratulations again! And I can't wait to see more pics!!

Aurora...I would probably start testing more like day 11 or 12 too...Like the others have said. Just to be sure.

Well, we had the IUI on Saturday morning...So I'm just in the 2WW. *SIGH* Cautiously optimistic.

Good luck to everyone else!!! :thumbsup2

Christal - good luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. 2 weeks seems like forever, doesn't it?

Christal-Good luck.

I'm on day 3 of the Femara, and let me tell you, my stomach is feeling it! Other than that, no side effects. DH said I was acting weird, didn't look like I felt good, etc. yesterday, but I really felt fine. I think since I stayed home all day, didn't do hair and makeup, that he didn't realize it probably had more to do with that than the drugs. He's been emailing me constantly today asking if I feel ok, but I really do.

I'm with you Aurora - I'm on day 3 of the Clomid. Luckily, DH and I have been working opposite shifts for the past 3 days (but then we'll be home together at the right time KWIM :) ) He's missed much of my crankiness. Unfortunately, I'm doing Clomid for a week this time, rather than 5 days. Oh well - 4 more days to go!

The cool part (if you're a 28 day person) - we'll know yes or no by Christmas! What a cool Christmas present that would be :)

Wow, we are right there together! Supposedly the Femara has fewer side effects, so I don't really have the crankiness too badly-I seriously basically feel normal. Glad the schedules are going to work out! Last night I dreamed that I had to go out of town for a workshop on the main two days-I was so upset!! I haven't heard of doing Clomid for a week.

I really hope to know by Christmas. I can seriously barely tolerate seeing my sister-in-law, and she's not really visibly pregnant yet (although the popping has begun). Even though we wouldn't share yet (unless I had already been to the doctor) it would help me mentally a lot to know.

Just a vent about her-I did tell her. I told her everything. She was very nice and supportive, although she did compare it to having your period be late by a DAY, yes, a DAY, which ticked me off. I ignored that, because I know she was just trying to sympathize. So, we're at DMiL's house, and she, sis-IL and DH's sister (sis-IL is married to DH's brother, if you can follow that) and I went to a baby store. I'm really trying to be good about everything. Afterwards, we stop at the grocery store and sis-IL complains that we didn't park in the expectant mothers' space. She was screeching from the backseat that she was an expectant mother and that we were allowed to park there. First of all, that space is for people more than 3 minutes pregnant. Secondly, it was just rude, and I nearly let her have it. I bit my tongue and just said nothing. She's the type who doesn't try to be rude, but has no filter on her mouth. She also told me a while back, when we were starting TTC that she and her husband got to have the next baby...Ok, when did this become a competition?

Ok, sorry, my rant is over.

Had IUI Monday. There was some debate amonst the nurses, the ultrasound and myself whether ov actually took place. Blood tests today confirmed it, so we got the timing right, thank goodness. I am in the 2WW too!:goodvibes

Aurora--your sis-IL sounds like a bizzo.:sad2: Good luck with that one.

Here's to a bunch of Holiday Babies!!!! :santa:

Aurora - Your SIL sounds absolutely pathetic. :grouphug: I know how difficult it is to be around idiots like that...:sad2:

Jen - YES!! 2 weeks does seem like forever!! :hourglass And you're right! A BFP would be the ultimate Christmas present wouldn't it??? :thumbsup2

GypsySue - So glad you're in the 2WW with me!! Unfortunately, I'm not quite as positive about my O this month as you are about yours. They didn't have me go in for blood work this month, so I don't have anything to gauge it by. But I'm just not feeling so strong about it (intuition or whatever)...But we'll see. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! :goodvibes

Alright, well, I'm headed out of here for the dreaded commute home. :headache: Have a great evening ladies! :goodvibes

-Christal

I have full blown nausea 24/7 to the point I want to cry every second. It's horrible :(
I had some pink spotting yesterday that of course made me think this whole baby thing was over. But it stopped and I had blood work done and all is fine. Thank God... Being pregnant is torture.. Worry 24/7 with nausea

DznyLvr2005 - Sorry you are not feeling well, and I hope it passes soon. I am so happy for you! :cheer2:

It's cool that you guys all seem to have "buddies" to go through your cycles with. I sure hope to see a slew of BFP's in the very near future.

I am actually off to buy a PG test this afternoon. I am on the pill and I missed my period last week. They have been getting progressively lighter over the past couple of months, but I have never missed one. I have absolutely no symptoms, so I really don't think I am PG, but I figured I ought to do a test, just to be sure.

DH and I have been sure for a long time that our family is complete, but have been talking over the past couple of days about how we would feel if I was PG. I thought he might be horrified, but I think we would both see it as a happy surprise.

Anyway, I will update after I take the test.

St. Nicholas comes to our house tonight - anyone else observe that tradition?

I have gotten a lot done at work this week so far, and feel great about it.

Allison - your appointment is tomorrow, good luck.

Carla - nice to see you posting. How are you feeling and doing? Is Kate doing any better?

Sending lots of :wizard: to everyone!

Denae

Carla, it's amazing how many people say that to me. Of course for me it felt like an eternity.

I know this sounds impersonal, but my fingers are so crossed for all you ladies doing the treatments. I really do hope you all get wonderful Christmas/NY presents.

Aurora, your SIL is a real piece of work. I can understand her trying to sympathize, but the crap she pulled in the parking lot is horrid! I would never in my dreams think of doing something like that. She sounds super spoiled.

DznyLvr, hope you are feeling better soon. I totally know that worry though.. sadly for me it never went away.

Denae should we be hopeful? :p
We usually do St. Nick's Day here, but not this year. I don't have enough stockings to go around ;)

I'm sorry it's getting bad for you :guilty: :grouphug:
I hope you start to feel better soon. Hang in there! And keep positive thoughts!! I know it's hard when you feel like crap, but just remember WHY you feel like crap!!!! :thumbsup2

I'm feeling a little crampy today...:sad2:
I really really really hope, but it's hard to stay positive...
Today's my birthday!! :thumbsup2
I HOPE that in a couple of weeks I'll get a late birthday/early Christmas present :goodvibes .
Have a great day everyone! :flower3:

ETA: Elaine!! What a beautiful family you are!! That last picture on your album is nothing short of perfection!! Your son is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! Good job!!

:cake: :bday: :cake: Christal - Happy Birthday! Hope your birthday wishes come true!

Elaine - I am pretty noncommittal at this point - either way and we will be happy. I really don't think I am PG, though, so I have not gotten emotional about it. I know that must sound strange for all of you on this thread. How is little Dom doing?

Thanks!! And BTW...I hope that you have happiness with the outcome of your situation, whatever that may be. :) Sometimes life is funny in the way we're thrown curveballs. Sometimes the best way is to do just what you're doing...Go with the flow. :goodvibes

I was crying looking at your pics... so precious.

Christal-Happy Birthday!

Elaine-He's beautiful! The pictures are so good!!

Denae-Good luck, either way!

DznyLvr2005-Hope it gets better soon.

It really did make me feel better to vent a little about the sister-in-law. We have a lot of issues in our past that I try not to let cloud my opinions of her (not all her fault, partially mother-in-law's) but now, I can tell my old feelings are cropping back up. Ugh.

BFN for me. :) I really would have been fine either way, and I wouldn't have tested except I felt I was being pretty irresponsible if I didn't.

DznyLvr2005 - are you trying any anti-nausea remedies? I had very little morning sickness with either DD, but I found if I ate small snacks frequently, it helped a lot. There are women on this board, and on this thread, who had it really badly - to the point they needed meds. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about it if it is unbearable.

Courtney - I had to have a discussion about bullies and mean people with my 7 year old this morning. Some people can only feel better about themselves while they are bringing other people down. Don't waste your time on those people, and surround yourself with true friends (like us :goodvibes ).

Christal - I hope you had a nice birthday.

Who is in the 2ww? GypsySue and Christal?
And Courtney and Jen are pre-O?

Good luck!

Denae

Denae ~ :goodvibes

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! :thumbsup2 I had a WONDERFUL birthday dinner last night. We went to an Italian restaurant we'd never been to, and the food was SOOOO unbelievably good!! I ate WAY too much!! Best Italian I've ever had! Nice atmosphere too! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone's having a good day today. I'm enjoying the cold, but I'm ready for some SNOW already!!! We were supposed to get some this evening, but now they're saying it'll probably be more like freezing rain than snow. Oh well...What can you do??? :confused3

No real 2WW news from me. This morning my temp was WAY up...but that's probably the progesterone suppliments. Getting dreesed this morning I noticed my bbs were super sensitive. Other than that, it just feels like AF is coming...mild cramping and low back pain off and on...
Oh well, time will tell.

Have a great day all! :flower3:
