Sometimes it is really cool that my DH is a Schwans man. I really really need a pint of #310 (that is Peanut Butter Passion ice cream for those who don't know).
Sound as bad as me and i'm not PG or trying LOL. My choice is confetti cake though.

I admit I have never had anything Schwanns here. I have heard some of it is good though. Yep, I am a Graeter's junkie

Just hours after I scan in the pics of the baby to send to family to tell them, what do I do? I fall down the last two steps of stairs... after hours for the doc and I doubt this is an emergency... I feel so dumb and will never forgive myself if I did something to hurt the baby :(

DznyLvr, have you had any blood tests done for clotting and immune issues? Have you had other karyotyping done on you and DH for something other than the Fragile X? I had it done and tested positive for a clotting disorder that is very common, but most people don't know they have it until they m/c and get tested.

Also, have they looked in your uterus with a scope? Sometimes, there are structural issues or other obstructions that can't be seen with u/s or even with an HSG/SHG.

I hope your RE can give you answers. I know I never "relaxed" during the pregnancy. I reluctantly had a shower on the condition that if something happened I wouldn't be repsonsible for sending all the gifts back. I'm still not relaxed.

A good friend of mine delivered her son still at 40w. She went on Friday for a visit and he was fine. They scheduled her induction for Monday (she never went into labor on her own and got induced with her other 2 kids). She went back on Monday and the baby was dead. They still have no idea why - 2 years later. So, there is no relaxing for me. And, it stinks.

Thankfully, my doctors are cool and tell me I can come in every 3 days to be put on the monitor if I want. I don't go THAT far, as long as I can feel her move.

Then, when she's born, there's a whole new set of things to worry about, I guess. So, we should just get used to the worry.
Yes, I had 5 viles of blood drawn for about 7 tests they did and all came back normal, except for the high prolactin. I mean, it's high, but not THAT high... It's 48... I know it's supposed to be under 20, but I read online so many people that were like 100!! Apparently you aren't even supposed to ovulate if you have high prolactin, let alone get pregnant, and like I said, the two times we tried, i got pregnant both times. It's so frusterating!!!

I never got a scope, but a year ago I did have an ovarian cyst removed and the MD said "all was good" whatever that means...
I am the furthest thing from "relaxed".. I feel like I so shouldnt be pregnant right now because my body is in no shape for it.
Someone I knew from work a few years ago, she got pregnant in her late 30's after years of trying.. Everything was going well and at 8 1/2 months, she didn't feel the baby moving and it had died.. I can't imagine what that must be to go through that! This pregnancy thing is so NOT enjoyable!! Seems like anything can happen at any time... I'm just so scared!!!
I tell DH that when I find out I'm pregnant I want to be put to sleep for 9 months and just wake me up when it's over :sad2:

I feel overwhelmed.....

I give you ladies who are going through or have gone through IVF a ton of credit....I find the whole process (just on paper) mind boggling.

I should be beginning the shots in a week or so...after watching the video, I sincerely hope I can do shots 3 times a day on myself....

I have been feeling so positive...thinking to myself that this is going to work...today, I find myself feeling...why would this work??

I hope this feeling passes quickly!

DznyLvr2005: First let me say how sorry I am that you have had to experience such tragedy  Second I would say that you get a second opinion on the LPD. 2 is a very very low number. Your progesterone increases after Ovulation and peaks around 7 days past ovulation this level should be upwards of 10 to show ovulation. The level stays around that number unless you get pregnant then the number starts to rise.

A friend of mine (who is due in July after 3 m/c) finally pushed her Dr for progesterone support which she took until 12 weeks.

Now I'm not saying that this would work in your case but it is always good to get a second opinion if you don't feel right about your situation.

My gyno said that taking progesterone is "controversial"!! But I know its helped many people, my cousin included....
What they said is that your body might have low progesterone BECAUSE you inevitably going to have a miscarriage, not because you're body is 'off'... That's why they say it's controversial to give supplements. But I also read that If you ovulate 'bad' and you get pregnant with that egg, it's probably doomed, but if you get a good egg released, that will produce good progesterone from the Corpus lutuem cyst left behind.
I'm no MD, this is just things I've read online :)
Maybe my MD will suggest clomid, because that will guarantee good ovulation and good eggs... I hope I can just get this whole baby thing over with.. I'm 30 years old!!

Well even if you ovulate a "good egg" the corpus lutuem can die prematurely. I have been on Clomid for 4 months and my progesterone still crashes to early and I start spotting. I don't know what to think anymore to tell the truth. I hope your issues get worked out and you get your BFP.

Oh Elaine I'm so sorry  I'm sure everything is fine. Give your Dr a call in the morning.

I'm right there with you. Although I'm not going through IVF (yet) I have the same feelings about doing IUI. I know that the success rate is better than trying on your own but after 15 cycles I just don't know if anything will work. I try to stay positive but sometimes it is hard ya know??

Hang in there...we are here for you if you need anything :goodvibes :wizard:

When this whole thing started, I went into it totally expecting IUI...so I am still in shock that I am even doing IVF

So your lutuel phase is less than 10 days?
Mine's always been at least 14 days(from what I can tell by knowing the day I O and the fact that I take my temps... My temps are always so low though, not going much above 98.2 in the 2nd half of my cycle....I don't know if this means my progesterone isn't good. But I just think I have bad eggs!!!
Are you on progesterone supplements?
I hope everything works out for you :)

No I'm not on progesterone supplements...I wish I was. My lutuel phase this cycle was 9-11 days. I stop counting when I start to spot because I don't see how I could maintain a pregnancy if my lining is starting to shed. I have had only one cycle where I didn't spot and had a 14 day LP.

Have you had a 21 day progesterone test? As for your temps, what is your coverline temp? 98.2 would be high for me because my normal body temp is around 97.2.

Have they tested your FSH levels?

I hope eveything works out for you as well

I haven't had any testing due to cycle days. I hope this new MD will do that. But last month I had to get blood testing and I purposely waitied until I was in the lutuel phase and my progesterone at 4dpo was 9.4. Is that normal?? In the first half of my cycle, my temps are usually 97.0-97.3, in the second half they are 97.9-98.3. I don't know if that's normal. I guess it is, but I always look at peoples charts on this website (www.tcoyf.com) and everyone's lutuel temps are high 98's :confused3

One conern I have is this...
I must warn you I may say TMI.. lol
after the CM goes away, it seems like I don't ovulate until 4-5 days later. I thought the last day of CM was supposed to be the day you ovulate. I have to tell the MD this too.
You MD doesn't want you to go on progesterone? I always thought that when you are on clomid, you are supposed to take progesterone :confused3

Elaine--stairs are my personal nemesis. I'm sure your peanut is okay though. Keep us posted.

Amber--that pic of Devine on your signature is beautiful

Momsully--We live in Roxborough Park--and boy was it windy today!

Elaine... I'm sure that baby is just fine! You would think that when we go through so much to get pregnant, that we would at least be blessed with an easy pregnancy! I guess if Carla isn't give an easy pregnancy after all she went through, there's no hope for the rest of us! ;)

Rebecca...I'm so sorry just the Clomid didn't work. My cousin got pregnant with her first through IUI. She then became unexpectedly pregnant when her little boy was just a 13 months old...with twins! I hope you have luck with IUI!

I'm still hanging in there...hoping to spark a new wave of BFP! :goodvibes Looks like I've made it through CD28. Last month AF arrived on CD31 so I still have a ways to go. My temp's still up, so I'm happy about that! But until I'm still holding my breath when I go potty every hour or so.

At 4dpo 9.4 is good. It should be over 10 at 7dpo to confirm ovulation. The temps thing is not my thing...I don't temp but others here have. As for CM...I have no clue. Mine does that sometimes as well. That is why I keep some Pre-Seed around for just those occasions. As for progesterone supplements it is up to the Dr. Some Drs monitor while you take clomid with ultrasounds and blood tests and prescribe progesterone...some don't. I'm going to ask for it with the IUI and if she won't give it to me than I well get a referral to an RE because I KNOW they do.

Just FYI...there are few things that are TMI on this thread :lmao:

Elaine~ I fell down the stairs when I was 14 w pregnant with my dd. I had a bruise on my lower back the size of a softball. I remember just crying and calling my dh in a real panic. I had a dr.'s appt. that day and everything was fine. I also felt the flutters (baby moving) for the very first time that day. I think I jostled her into moving like that and I didn't really feel it much after that until a few weeks later. Anyway, I am sorry you also experienced a fall. It was definitely one of the scariest moments for me so I can only imagine how you are feeling. I will keep you in my prayers but I am sure you and baby are just fine!

skuttle~ Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Amber--that pic of Devine on your signature is beautiful

Thank you. :)

Elaine, I am sure the baby is fine. My mom was 5 or 6 months pregnant with my little brother and fell down several steps. Everything was fine.

Allison, my fingers are crossed for you.

I woke up an hour and a half earlier today than normal sweating for some reason. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. I finally took my temp about 30 minutes earlier than my average and it was lower than normal. I'm not sure if it's because of how I woke up so early, or if it's because AF is on her way. So I'm a bit bummed right now. I wasn't going to set my alarm tomorrow morning to temp, but I think I may. Every time I start to get my hopes up...Crash! :sad2: I really need to stop doing that to myself!

Allison my fingers are crossed for you! Remember what I said about my temp being down one day and I was convinced I wouldn't be pregnant? I don't want to give way hope, but one day of a dip isn't anything to think of. NO AF!!!! NO AF!!!

Thank you for letting me whine again... I felt like such a dork since I had literally just e-mailed pics of the ultrasounds (I'll share a link if anyone wants to see) and figured I jinxed myself. The doc office said that it happens all the time and is almost never a cause for worry. To make me feel better they listened to the heartbeat again (found it easier this time, though the nurse said the baby moved a ton) and took a blood test to make sure nothing was mixing (I am O-) just in case. Really said a fall like that is nothing at all. I probably felt more than the baby did.

How about a new QOTD :)

Who have you told, if anyone, that you are TTC?
I only told a few very very close friends of mine that I was TTC. I didn't tell my family at all. Though they figured it out with the first miscarriage ;) I just didn't want to deal with questions or comparisons much at all.

Elaine, I'm glad everything is ok.

As for the QOTD, DH told his best friend that we are trying. He mentioned wanting kids to his mom and sister, but nothing more than that. No one else knows.
