Didn't you have an extended hospital stay though? :)

Nope, admitted @ 4 am on Thursday, baby delivered @ 6:20 pm same day, discharged Sunday at noon. I was told average stay after a c-section is 3 days, and I was only there 2.5 after the birth (3.5 total counting labor). I do live in a fairly expensive area, though. I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. I think the cost of the surgeon and anesthesiologist for the surgery probably increase the cost most.

I am so sorry about Noah I will keep him in my prayers. I just got the bill in the mail for Diana's appendiz operation 30K of course insurance paid for it all.

Welcome, baby Noah! I'm so sorry to hear about the complications, but I'm glad Noah's getting good care. I'll keep him in my prayers. I hope you and your family are doing okay in all of this.

Carla, I'm glad to hear your baby is doing well! It's so encouraging to hear from the success stories on this board. Gives me hope...

Well, we're officially in the 2ww, and I KNOW we BD on all the right days this time, even if FF is wrong on the exact date of O, I made sure our bases were covered, so to speak. Poor DH says he's exhasted and could he just take a break for a while now? :lmao: I'm scheduled to test on the 10th if AF doesn't show by then. My luteal phase is usually only 10 or 11 days, so that would be 12 DPO for me. DH swears I must be pregnant because I'm having crazy dreams about Paris Hilton's friends telling me my hair is ugly, I'm fat, I'm frumpy, and I'm horribly old and out of date! :rotfl2: I swear I have never paid much attention or given any thought to Paris Hilton or her friends in my life, so it's been hysterical to dream about it!

One of our cats, Rosalind, has a sore on her face that has swollen up and is affecting her right eye, so we have to give her antibiotics and keep a watch on her to make sure it's getting better. Turns out she probably was scratched by her sister, Beatrice, who is decidedly unrepentant over the trouble and trauma inflicted on the family. DH is very worried because Rosalind is his "special girl" as he calls her. Poor kitty is curled up on my lap right now, absorbing the warmth of the laptop. If the swelling doesn't go down in the next day or so we'll have to take her back in to the vet for another evaluation and possibly some minor surgery. I'm worried about that since we just lost our kitten, Marlowe, last fall to a bad reaction to the anesthesia during his surgery. :guilty: I hope the antibiotics will work and Rosalind won't have to go in again.

Bethany...so sorry to hear about your kitty! It's so hard when something is wrong because you can't really explain it to them. I was a nervous wreck the day Milo had his surgery to remove the mass from his paw, even thought he had had surgery in the past to get fixed and did fine, I was still worried.

Well...this should be the week for me. It's CD25 today. *sigh* I'm going out of town for work until Wednesday, so at least I'll have that to keep me busy. I just hope AF doesn't show up while I'm away! Then it's DH's birthday, my mom's birthday, a birthday party for my cousin's little boy, and then easter. Busy, busy, busy!! So if AF does show up, at least I won't have a lot time to dwell on it. Of course, visiting family, with all of the new babies in the family (3 born in Dec/Jan)...I'm sure at least SOMEONE will ask the dreaded question. Ugh!

Hi everyone! Twice now in a month I wasn't trying (and actually this time I was avoiding in hopes to go to WDW) we wound up with a BFP. Truthfully I am scared because of last time. The symptoms this time are slightly sore (but not extremely painful) bbs. I used to get really sore bbs for PMS but haven't had them since I was pregnant last time. They feel full though. That was my thought to make me test. I can't even tell you what CD I am on and my doc will love me for it I am sure ;)

Bethany, best wishes to your kitty. We had things like that happen now and then with the kitties as well. I hope she heals up quickly.

Denise, good luck with everything. I wouldn't go on an estimated cycle while on the pill. I would test based on what your cycles were like before you went on BCP. CD 30 for me is late enough to test, but too early for others depending. I might split the difference and do CD 32 or 33 if I were you.

Allison, I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm not a huge fan of doctors, but I might call yours by now to go in and even just have a talk with her. I'm truly under the belief that it's wise to take it easy and have fun while TTC, but get checked if you do worry.

Elaine - WOW ... Congratulations!!! I am saying a lot of prayers and throwing pixie dust in your directions that you have a very sticky baby!!! I am sooo happy for you!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

It's amazing how (as much as everyone hates hearing it) sometimes, it does happen when you least expect it!! After 8 months of trying we had the same thing happen ...

Elaine - Congratulations! :yay: I am so very happy for you.

Minnesota! - Congratulations, and welcome to baby Noah. I am keeping your family in my thoughs. :grouphug:

Carla - glad to hear that you and your little girl are still doing well.

I am having a hard time keeping up. I always miss out on so much over the weekends. So hugs and baby dust for everyone. Hope to hear of some more good news soon.

Congratulations and welcome baby Noah!!! I am so glad he is getting the best medical care. Noah and your family are in my prayers.

Bethany: I hope Rosalind is feeling better soon. I have a little furbaby at home too, and it's so hard when they get sick. Mine has a chronic kidney condition and he has to go to the vet for extensive testing every 6 months and he's had a couple of surgeries. He's a strong little kitty. The vet told me that cats have far less pain receptors than dogs so they actually are not feeling as uncomfortable as we think they are. But still... they're our babies!

Allison: I hope this is the month!!!

Elaine: Yeah!!!!! I am so happy for you! Lot's of pixie dust for a sticky baby!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Congrats Elaine . Just try to remember that everything happens for a reason. Maybe it just wasn't your time to go to WDW ( I know slap me) Best of Luck

On another note I need to run something by ya all and get your opinion. I am selling Creative Memories and was thinking about doing albums for people who didn't have the time etc. ie new mothers What do ya all think??? I put it on the scrapbooking boards and didn't get much of a response

THANKS MY FRIEND! Check your PMs please. :)

Stopping in for a quick quick quick post -- I have been reading everyday and keeping up with you guys -- I will post more later -- I have a hearing at 2pm I am trying to get ready for!

But - wanted to drop in quick and says Congrats Elaine!! I am so happy for you!

Funny how things happen when you aren't thinking about them -- for you - the time was right now -- seems the same thing happened to Ash too!

I think this is wonderful news - I know you are nervous because of your last experience but you have to think positive!

Sorry no WDW for you - but this little one is a pretty good consolation prize!

I will check back in later!

Have a good day girls!

-Nicole

*I* think it's a good idea, if you spend the time to get to know the family and their style and taste. I would love to scrapebook and want to do one of my pregnancy and the first year of DS's life. However, I don't think I have any creative talent and while I have all the materials everytime I try to do a page it looks like a kindergartener did it. I am horrible at it .... So I think its a good idea b/c I would like it but you would need to make it personable to the families style and personality.

I think it would be a wonderful thing for some people. I personally am one who enjoys expressing myself through my albums so having someone do an album for me may not work, but if you stick to CM conspect, (no metal/lumpy/bumpy) , I'd probably be ok with it but want to do my own journaling. This is me and I'm one doing albums for babies in our family.

Elaine! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. :cheer2: :cheer2: Try and take it one appointment at a time, one week at a time....that's what I did. I found it hard to think ahead to X weeks, so I just set goals for myself to get to the next week.

Lisa, I would also love that idea. The people on the scrapbooking boards probably wouldn't want someone else doing their stuff for them, but for those of us who have no idea how to do it, it sounds like a great idea.

Bethany, I'm sorry about your kitty. :sad1: With everything going on with the food, I've been stalking my cat. She's probably wondering why I keep staring at her. I'm just so scared something could happen to her. She had a problem with her eye a few months ago and couldn't understand why I was letting this stranger poke at her and then why I tortured her with the drops. They look so betrayed. :sad2:

I was thinking of meeting with the people with their photos and discuss the photos. Either journaling in their own words or put journaling boxes in so that they can journal themselves

Elaine - congrats!!!! :yay: I'm so excited for your BFP! I'm really praying for you that this one is extra sticky. I agree with Carla - just take it one day at a time...

Thanks everyone for the kind words for Rosalind. We've had a worrying weekend with her, and she's really mad at us for holding her and squirting medicine down her throat every 12 hours. Poor baby has been hiding under the bed in the one spot she knows we can't reach. Yesterday was especially rough because the abcess opened and DH had to keep grabbing her to squeeze it and get the yuck out. :scared1: Ewww...and Ros really hated that. Poor DH was almost in tears at one time as she was fighting him on it and she was crying her most pitiful meows. :sad1:

But hooray! This morning she's looking much better!! Her eye is open again, and the swelling has gone down a ton. She's still very wary around us (waiting for us to grab her and torture her again, I'm sure), but this morning she did come and sit on my lap for a minute and purr for me. :cloud9:

Our vet said she thinks our cats must see a trip to the vet like being abducted by aliens who look just like their favorite people - they get shoved in a box, they travel in a strange and noisy vehical to a place that smells strange, they get poked and prodded by another strange alien, and then they get shoved back in the box and transported back to their home. I think Rosalind believes DH and I have both been replaced with mean aliens who continue the process of poking and prodding... ;)

Oh, and 9 days to testing for me...the countdown continues...
