Jennifer, so glad you made your way over here! We all have various histories. I've been at TTC for over a year now. One pregnancy with one miscarriage at 12 weeks. Nothing since (that was in Nov). Which is fine because we're just enjoying life again, but I love the ladies here so I'll stick around for a long time... and if I get pregnant it will be a bonus. Just don't have much more in me to do anything other than that.

I am sorry for all your losses, wishing you lots of PD your way for a baby soon :)

:welcome: Jennifer!!!

So sorry for your loss and that you are having such a rough time of it. I'm glad you are here and hope you get your BFP soon!!!

Baby Dust :wizard:

Well I had some EWCM yesterday afternoon so I did an opk last night and sure enough it was a positive. I was not supposed to start testing till tonight so I'm glad I was paying attention.

This is almost exactly what happened to me yesterday! I noticed my CM had changed and was more watery and edging to EW, so I decided I'd do an opk early (not supposed to start opk's until Friday for me), and it was positive. Poor DH was so tired when he came home and starting to get a cold, and when I told him it was BD week he just looked at me like I'd asked him to climb Mt. Everest! :rotfl2: Poor guy says I'm going to give him a heart attack trying to get a baby.

This is pretty early in my cycle for me...yet another irregular cycle to add to the list.

Welcome, Jennifer! I'm glad you joined us! :goodvibes

Lisa, hang in there!

:lmao: Your DH cracks me up!!!!

Sorry your cycles give you fits

After I went off BCP in June, I had regular 28 day cycles for a few months. Then it went to 30-33 day cycles. Now, the past two months, it's been 28 days again. It's hard to guess what will happen!

Welcome, Jennifer. Sounds like you have been through a lot. We have a great group of supportive girls on here. It's a great place to be happy, sad, mad, jealous, etc. If it wasn't for this thread, I think I would have gone crazy by now, keeping all of these feelings bottled up inside.

Denae and Elaine -- Thanks for the invite!! Now, without reading the past 275 pages (my you are a chatty bunch, lol), I figured I'd jump in and introduce myself!

I'm Jennifer, My DH and I are both 33, and have been TTCing for 3 years. We've been treating with a RE for the past 2 years. We had an ectopic and m/c in 2005, and our son was stillborn 8/26/06. I held him for a few hours, and even though he was tiny, he was perfect.

We are apparently crazy though, b/c we are trying yet again!! I had a cycle cancelled this month due to hyperstimulation, so I'm just waiting for AF, so I can start my meds again! That's me in a nutshell! Can't wait to get to know you all!

:welcome:

Well, I'm doing my pre-attempt (way pre-several months probably) visit on Monday. It's my annual, so I figured I'd et any info I can. Does anybody have any advice for the questions that I should ask?

I'm frustrated about my insurance. I'm thinking about looking into birthing centers which some are half the costs of hospitals. Can any of you ladies give me any info about that? I'm VERY discouraged. My medical isn't much and the one that's a million dollar coverage is stressing me out trying to work towards it. I have to average 30 hours a week before they even consider me. I'm at 29.47 and I've been working at it for over a month! I've been working 33 hours over the last 3 weeks and just knew I would be there by now!!! I've got certain days that I HAVE to take off during the year because of my faith which will make it hard to maintain. If I drop below the 30 average, they drop me...no questions asked, no forewarning. They check everyone's hours in April before the new enrollment period in June. DH and I have savings accounts everywhere, but I don't want the heartache of hospital bills again as I did with Fort Walton Beach Medical.

Sure could use some advice and words of wisdom. :( Thanks.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Like I said, I won't be activiely cycling again until AF gets here, but in the meantime I'm here too root everyone else on! I also like to pretend I'm an RE (since I've been going to one for so long) and diagnose people and prescribe treatment and testing for fun! LOL!!!

WDWAurora -- Since you are getting ready to start TTCing, I would let your gyn know that, and ask for a RX for pre-natal vitamins. The sooner you start taking folic acid, the better, when it comes to a healthy pregnancy. Best of luck to you!

TiggerLover91 -- I don't have an advice on lower costs birthing centers, but I wanted ti wish you good luck with your insurance issues!

Thanks again for letting me join!!

Thank you Nennie and welcome! :welcome:

It's SO frustrating working on something so hard and not getting anywhere! I'm going to take your advice on RX pre-natal vitamins. I'm taking a multi-vitamin right now that has folic acid in it, but I've heard the pre-natal stuff is even better. Wishing you all the luck and baby dust you need! :wizard:

I HAVE to get ready for work now. It's 9am and I haven't eaten breakfast yet.

Blessing to ya! :flower3:

Pre-natals caused me incredible constipation because of the iron. My Midwife said I could substitute them with Total Cereal. It worked!

My doc suggested much of the same. I could keep with my regular multi-vitamin (or equivalent) as long as it had at least 400 mg of folic acid. I could also take it twice a day while pregnant. Both the doc and my NP said the same thing. If it has their min requirement no need to change to something that could cause you upset stomach or constipation.

That's a good idea! There's also a newer prenatal, Prenate Elite, that's supposed to help with the constipation too. I'm taking it right now, and am not having any problems, but I'm also not pregnant right now (which is when the constipation really sets in). My doctor also said that if constipation got really bad, I could take 2 Flintstones vitamins instead, which I thought was pretty funny!

And you could name your baby boy Bam Bam or your baby girl Pebbles! :lmao:

If you do, please don't give Bam Bam a club to pay with.

I was talking to DH the other night about signing the girls up for Karate. He said no way would he be teaching our youngest skills she could use to beat us up later! :rotfl:

Well Elaine, as always you give me some wonderful words of wisdom! :thumbsup2 My multi-vitamin has 400mg of folic acid, so I will just stick to that.

Still looking to hear from any of you ladies about birthing centers. I'm about over my medical insurance. :sad2:

Denise, I am so worn out from all the work i've been doing for church (slowly catching up on PMs and week old e-mails today as I have a "down day") I forgot to mention. I have no experience with them. We are lucky to know that our insurance will pay all but about $200 TOTAL of my birthing and pre-natal care. I can tell you the whole bill for a hospital will run about $3000 for natural (with drugs) and $3400 for a c-section at my hospital. Does your DH have insurance you can get on? Wish I could help more, but like I said we are blessed with my DH's insurance.

We were also very lucky with our insurance when DD's were born. They each cost me $10. I was hospitalized for 2 1/2 weeks before Hannah was born, and she was in the intensive care nursery for 2 weeks before she came home. Emily was a normal, event-free delivery.

My inssurance has since changed, but it is still very good.
