Good evening ladies~

Nothing much going on here. Spotting finally stopped, we'll see how long it stays away, last time it was 2 days..... My temp dropped this week so I guess I could still O this month. DH and I aren't felling well so there's a very slim chance of BD during my window. I came home with a bad headache today and even though I drank all my water, ate 3 meals and took a nap, it still hurts. I felt so bad I canceled shopping with my girls this afternoon.

Hey girls!

Well, some semi-good news on my end....I recently started a new job, and was talking to one of the head OBs when he asked me why I had not had another child yet....he gave me his cell and we talked today about what happened. He said that it doesn't sound like I had any scarring from my d&c (I thought I might have since the doctor messed it up to begin with) since I'm have normal 7 days periods that start on the same day every month. He's setting me up with labwork and some sort of "scope" to check out everything....then he's going to do a count for my DH's...uhh...boys... :) but the best part is, he's not charging me. Woot!! :) It sort of lifted my spirits today, but he told me to continue with the prenates and keep on trying for a baby on my own until we figure out if there's an issue, or those little guys just don't wanna get into an egg just yet ;)

Stepharoonie: That's great news! I think finding someone to help you figure out what's going on is huge deal. Hope it all works out for you!! :woohoo:

I absolutely agree with taking a passport, just makes this easier, especially with the changing passport rules for getting back to the US (I know they will be requiring passports for everyone but am not sure about the year of when it will be)
Since I love to travel so much, and one of the dates would have been my mom's birthday, I know this one :p By air it is Jan 23 of this year. By land or sea it is Jan 1, 2008. Only one more year to go. They did push back the 2nd one a bit for some reason.

Imarried, I love your reasoning for taking the passport! I usually take mine as well just as a precaution. That will let me in and out of more trouble than a license anyway.
Not that I ever expect it, just always is safer to me and easier to carry due to size as well :)

Noni, I am glad your spotting stopped, but sorry that the both of you aren't feeling well right now. Hope you two are feeling better soon.

Stephanie, glad you got someone to help you out! I remember your story about the miscarriage... try not to let that worry you. Missing some tissue is more common than you think. And think of it this way, I would rather a doc miss a little tissue than pierce the lining by scraping too hard!!! We even think my doc missed a very small bit of mine due to some bleeding I had 2 weeks after the D&C, but had no worries since it stopped on its own a week later.

All of the cruise info is really interesting - I really had no idea they had those types of restrictions. Just never thought about it really. :) Good info to have! :thumbsup2

I'm at work, but getting ready to head out to the doctor in about an hour for my 2 week D&C follow-up. I have a whole list of questions to ask & hope that we get the green light soon to TTC again!!

I've been busy starting to get things together to pack for the trip & finalize all of our arrangements, which has been nice. And, hubby & I finally finished painting our bedroom last night & got all the furniture back in place. It's nice to have it back to normal after it being out of sorts for the last few days. It took at least 3 coats on every wall since we were trying to cover up a dark color underneath with a lighter color. I really miss my blue walls, but the new color looks bright & refreshing. :)

Stepharoonie - that is GREAT news!!! :yay: Sounds like a great guy to help you guys figure out what's going on. :goodvibes

Good luck to all those testing soon - BABY DUST to you all!! :wizard:

That is really exciting. I had a hysteroscopy after my D&C, and they found some scar tissue in my uterus from my D&C. It was a strand that was connecting the top and bottom of my uterus. It might have contributed to my issues, but it would have been very dangerous during a PG because if the placenta had attached there. Good luck! And how cool that your doctor is going to do it for nothing! I had mine done in the OR with general anesthesia.

Just wanted to share my news with you girls - just got back from my follow-up appt & got a clean bill of health. :goodvibes The pregnancy test came back negative (which is actually good news in this case) & my uterus is nice & small again.

I should hopefully get AF in the next 2-3 weeks (never thought I'd wish for that! :lmao: ) & then we'll be good to TTC again!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Emily- great news! i hope AF comes quickly for you. did they say you could start trying again right away? A friend of mine just had a D&C like 6 weeks ago. her doc didn't want her trying until she got 2 periods. but my friend said forget it and has started trying right away! it did take her a little longer to get AF though. but now she is all good to go.

isn't is fun getting ready for a trip?? DH and i stayed at CBR in August with free dining. I am a huge POR fan, but decided CBR might be more romantic and decided to try it- we did enjoy it, i know you will too! the hammocks are great.

Stepharoonie- great news. maybe the tests can help. i've done all those and poor DH had to endure 2 sperm analysis. he was able to do it at home and i drove it in within 30 minutes. same for our IUIs....he 'provides' the sample at home and i take it in (our RE is a block away). getting all that help and testing for free is awesome. i know my HSG test was like $2-$3k according to insurance.

well CD23. nervous....had a horrible migraine so bad, i stayed home yesterday. i used to get migraines as PMS, but it was always 10-12 days before AF. this is only 2-3 days before AF now. so who knows what it was. still sore b**bs, veins and bloating/weight gain.....but again, probably the fertility meds/shots tricking me. i've gained weight very quickly this cycle though....so that is different. maybe just the holidays. eating better now though for sure! so by monday i'll test if AF isn't here. i hope she has decided to stay away and bless me this time!

oh and made ressies for our business trip next week- got in the Cali Grill for wed night and LTT for Saturday dinner. tried Le Cellier for Thursday night, but it was booked solid. weird for january. maybe the show i am going to will drive up crowds in the parks or something. it's a huge tradeshow, so who knows. we'll just eat around epcot fast food that night or something instead.

well lots of baby dust for us all!

Your poor DH..... Mine had to do 2 of them also. The bad part - we live about 30 minutes from the hospital on a good day. With traffic in the morning, it's much longer. Needless to say, we had to find a place somewhere closer to get the sample. Slightly embarrassing.....:rolleyes1

We love to laugh about our sample day. We knew he would have to do it, we did not know he would have to do it at the RE's office, at or first appointment. Oh, the bright lights .... :rotfl2:

Michelle - the doctor said everything looked good & we could start TTC again after I get my 1st AF. Hopefully, she'll arrive in the next 2-3 weeks & we can start trying again. I've read a lot about this on-line over the last 2 weeks & some docs apparently say it is OK to TTC right away (even before AF) & others want their patients to wait 3 months or more. I'm guessing that it may also have to do with each patient's history/health. I've also read in more than one place that it isn't any less safe to TTC right away, but that most docs want you to get your first AF simply for dating purposes.

I've been temping & had a real temp dip from over 98 to mid-high 96's now over the last 3-4 days - which is back to my pre-preggo temps. I'm hoping that this combined with the negative HPT at the Doctor today means that I will O soon & get AF shortly there after. ;)

Glad to hear you guys enjoyed CBR - we were also thinking it would be romantic & I loved the hammocks at Polynesian, so I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying some down time in one in 2 weeks! Hubby & I are definitely looking forward to some romantic & relaxing time together after all we've been through lately. :goodvibes We're staying at POP for the first 4 nights, which will allow us to go crazy & commando at first & then we can look forward to relaxing more for the rest of the trip. :cloud9: Sounds like you have some great meals planned - can't wait to hear about your trip!

:rotfl2: Ah the day of the S/A. DH will never forget it. We live about 35 minutes away from the lab (on a good day) so he had to go into where he works (no one is there on Sundays) and right before he went into the bathroom to do the deed his Sister called him. Talk about a buzz kill :lmao:

Michelle & Emily-I hope you both have a great time in WDW. Please tell us all about it when you get back. It will help those of us that have to wait a little while before we can go.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

lol at all the S/A stories. Poor DH....for being such a macho man, he has put up with it all. He has had to provide 6 samples so far....2 for testing and 4 for IUIs. We are lucky to live a block away from our RE. It's so funny seeing the women or couples walk out of the office with brown paper bags....you know there is a sample cup on there.....or see them coming in with them. it's all very hush hush, but funny. Dh actually requires some 'help'.....he says if it is for us TTc, i should have to help! lol....TMI, i know! whatever it takes! :rotfl: :confused3 :rotfl:

having some more cramping today. and a sort of off balance feeling....it's very weird, kind of a dizzy, lightheaded feeling even sitting here typing now. so don't know if that is just remnants of my migraine or what. it could be a 'symptom', but so could everything else i have. lol :rotfl2: oh and none of my clothes barely fit anymore....this is really getting old...the weight gain. i started eating good on tuesday. only one diet coke per day if that and more fruits and veggies (i am picky- don't even like salad!) and smaller portions and better snack choices- like an apple yesterday and ff jello. so far, so good, but no results yet. oh well. i just hate to have to go buy clothes in the next size up...it's like admitting defeat!

Denae, can I ask what made them think to do a hysterosopy anyway? I do get keliods and while I realize the whole uterus is a different ball game, I scar easily in some places (face, back and upper arms in particular). Just wondering if this is something I should "think" about having looked at.

Emily, woo hoo for the good doc appt! I remember how good I felt after mine. My doc also only had me wait one cycle. The thought is that if you do ovulate early, the lining may not be thick enough to have a safe pregnancy at first. I have read of other women getting pregnant and the doc was just a bit cautious at first. Nothing long term. Not sure why other docs make people wait 2 or more cycles. A good friend of mine had to wait 2 cycles as well. I was glad to get it in after the first too!
Have fun with the wait ;) My good friend said hers was 28 days exactly from D&C to AF arriving. I was just about 30 days. She was about 7 weeks at time of D&C and I was 12, so I had a few more hormones going through me ;) I could tell immediately when the hormones dropped and that my body could tell it wasn't pregnant. Every single symptom I had went away the following day.
I am just glad that all checked out for you! And I admit, the slightly smaller uterus afterwards really was nice when it came to the jeans fitting again :p
Hey gotta find the joy where you can!

Michelle, woo hoo on ADRs. A friend of mine is leaving Friday to go for the marathon. I wonder if that had anything to do with Le Cellier being booked up as well.

Thinking good thoughts for everyone! I hope we see some more BFP soon :)

I think they saw something on the HSG when they checked to see if my tubes were blocked. It has been a while since I did all the testing, but I don't think they just went in and did the hysteroscopy without any advanced information. My tubes were fine. When they did the scope, they had planned on going in laproscopically as well, but forgot to get consent before they knocked me out. They couldn't find DH, so they used the scope to cut the scar tissue in half and felt pretty comfortable that would solve my problem. It was cool to see the pictures of the inside of my uterus - which my doctor did while I was in the receovery room.

Sounds like I'm not the only have dealing with this unfortunate weight gain... I had gained about 5 lbs during the first 10 weeks of being preggo. Some of that may very well have had to do with too many Christmas cookies, but it's just depressing that it's mostly stuck around at this point. I also haven't gone & bought anything in a larger size, but may have to at some point - I only have 2-3 pairs of jeans that fit right now because they were loose to begin with, now I have trouble buttoning them! I've had some rough days dealing with tight (or not fitting at all) jeans over the last week - I even raided hubby's closet for a pair of his jeans last week.

I'm down about 2 lbs since the procedure 2 weeks ago, so I guess that's a good start. I was really hoping to lose another 3 before I head to WDW in 2 weeks & gain it all back again! :rotfl2:

Elaine - I'm really hopeful that AF will arrive within 28 or 30 days! :) I had a pretty long cycle the cycle I conceived (which was also the first after BCP) so, it's possible my cycles are still a bit out of whack. We're supposed to use protection until after AF, which feels really bizarre considering that we want to get preggo! LOL :lmao:

Michelle, I hope all your "symptoms" result in a BFP!!

I am not feeling well. I have been having cramps, backache, headaches, and some spotting. AF is due on the 11th. Usually I don't have any of these things until AF is here, so I'm confused. My breasts don't hurt and they usually do starting a week before AF. :confused3 I really want to test, but it's still early.

Elaine- when is the marathon? I didn't think about that. that is probably part of why the ADRs are harder to come by.

Emily- i know the feeling on the jeans....there are few pants that are fitting me now. so depressing! i am tall- like 5'9 and usually weigh in at like 148 (i'm athletic with some muscle!)- i've crept up to 155 for the last 6 months and hit 160 on tuesday. that's a first for me and scary. i was back to 156 this morning. been eating well since tuesday and i think it is helping.

well another migraine attack at 3am. felt sick to my stomach- didn't have to throw up, but didn't feel normal either. it is better now, but still not 100%. having some slight back pain too that feels like pms coming on. and the migraines used to be pms for me too- but weeks before, not days. so who knows. i am getting the feeling this 4th IUI didn't work for me. but i could be wrong. i hope i am wrong.

DH and i discussed last night our next step if we get a BFN again. he knows the toll this has taken on my body with 9 months on fertility meds, a lap and 4IUIs. not to mention the emotional toll. we decided to consult the doc, but that we want to move on to IVF next. due to insurance changes, another IUI would cost us like $2k. The past 4 were covered and i got the shots ($1k worth each cycle) for free through samples- (i know the nurse, so she got some for me). we might as well put the $2k to IVF instead. so it is scary knowing we are to this point maybe....and we can't afford more than one. Grandpa will pay for the first, but i don't know that he would pay for 2 or 3. i would hate asking him. So the one might be our last hope to have a child of our own.

We will adopt if we have to, we are both totally at peace with adoption and i think it would be a great thing to help another child. I would NOT consider surrogacy, i could not handle someone else enjoying the pregnancy i wished i could have had. but adoption won't be cheap either and we will have to save for years. so it is all very scary knowing i am near the end of the road, so please, if you pray, pray for us.

Are you testing on Sunday! I am really hoping and praying for a BFP for you! :goodvibes
