Any other Canadians having trouble with the Walt Disney World website?

I've been having such a struggle. When I try to go to the Disney World website, I get an error message on firefox, chrome and IE. It appears that my browsers automatically change the address slightly to a strange Canadian/english version of the original typed address (adding a weird ca/eu or something like that in the URL), leading to an error message. Am I the only one having problems? Even when I remove this weird add-on and press enter, it just comes right back again and I get the same error message. If I clear cookies over and over and over and over again, it SOMETIMES works. I got it working late last night and now I'm afraid to turn off my computer for fear of not getting it back. I'm helping a few people plan trips right now, so I've got to have access to the Disney website!! My techie dh insists that Disney must have made some changes to their website that is affecting Canadians. I thought I'd post here. Anyone else having the same problems or does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? TIA :confused3

Update: I see there are a couple other threads pertaining to this issue. Thanks to everyone for their input. I was able to get to the WDW site through Disneyparks. Maybe I'll actually turn my computer off! haha

Yes :(. I have no problem with my iPad getting on, but I get that same weird thing you are getting with my MacBook. I tried with both Safari and Firefox. Ugh.
Have no idea why it works with one and not the other. Both are Macs, and bookmarks are sync'd with each other. :confused3

I was having the same problem. Reset your browser... In safari click on the word safari and click the "reset Safari..." then make sure the following are clicked

clear history

reset all location warnings

reset all website notification warnings

remove all website data

this should work it did for me...

This wasn't working for me. It would work once and then go back to not working. Someone here suggest I use Disney.ca and go through there. That seems to work... for now.

Sure hope they get this fixed. Your right DisneyFreak06, it seems to work once but if you go back later it reverts back. I'm in the process of pricing out a vacation and I'm ready to book but from payments getting lost, to reservation disappearing, I holding off for a week or two..

Can't get it to work here either. And when I try the disneyworld.ca way it brings me to the site but won't let me log in....

I can get on using the "canadian" site that asks if you want french or english. We are 57 days and it says we should be able to check in on line using the "My Disney Experience" tab. I can not find that on the "Canadian" site but I only get an error 404 when I try to go to the "American" one.

Same here...

I keep getting the "old" site with no "My Disney Experience" tab. I've tried this on home and work computers (IE9 and Safari browsers). Cleared cache, cookies, restarted multiple times and still no new site. :badpc:

Website seems to be down for maintenance. I have gotten this error all day while trying to make dining reservations. But this new website has been a problem since its launch, very slow.

I wonder if maybe they have taken the My experience part of the web site down to fix it

Not sure how to do a screen shot and post it to the dis, but from what I can see On my computer now the My experience tab is back on the page in the link I provide before and it is working fine for me. I haven't had to use the Canadian address to get to it either.

Nope, not getting any new web site with My Disney Experience tab on it, clicked on the links posted :badpc:

I am not a computer programmer, but have family members that are, and the new My Disney Experience apparently only appears to be accessible from a US IP address for now.

I'm betting that they are still in testing mode, and this will rectify itself once they get it up and running, but just on the off-chance, I hope someone out there on the Cdn Board has the patience to call Disney IT support and make them aware that Cdns currently don't seem to be able to access the My Disney Experience portion of the web site.

I would hope they would know .... but just in case?:confused3

I called them last week! They told me I was wrong that it was fully functional in Canada and it must be my computer!! :badpc:
